I told him that judging by the end results really is pointless & not the way to go about things. I mean who judges anything these days by the end results? Insane!

The Chinese will eventually replicate the capabilities for a significantly cheaper price- to their irritation.

Chinese don't do quality, except for when they do get paid by somebody paying them to do some kind of quality with quality control measures in place.

Tbf, their higher end stuff may obviously not be on par with the elite brands but they've improved significantly compared to ten years back and will probably just get better.

I’ve found out for you - you’re welcome.

But essentially there is a huge change the iPhone 16e is also going to have a limited or half-baked Standby mode, despite having the latest iOS.

Although no one understands the reasoning - I’m sure it’s a brilliant & smart decision that every owner is going to be mould themselves to be happy with

There was nothing to find out...it's pretty obvious full standby isn't available on devices without the always on display.

What you should rather be questioning is why the motion detection option is disabled on those devices because the hardware is there for it.

I think there is also a bit of "Apple censoring" at play and it's somewhat intentional. But also different things made for different purposes.

Apple is being very careful with what they are allowing through AI generation/augmentation and even trim their own devices out of Genmoji/Playground I can only assume as a means of brand protection.

But if that sensoring the final experience, why bother implementing a feature at all?

Whether the issue is on device or censoring, judging by that video it can't remove objects / can't summarise as well / can't create a story using AI ... even the late Steve says you work backwards from the results?

Btw - on the app I 'purchase', it logged out of the app ... and when logging back, it doesn't seem to pick up that I've paid before. It gives an option to pay again (another R1,000) or 'free' trial (which debits another R1,000) ...

It's an updated iPhone SE (cheapest device in the lineup). Cuts had to be made to keep the price low. Why do you care? You're going back to Android anyway?
