Apple will completely redesign its App Store

By removing 50+ thousands old apps you duly paid for...

Came across this in my Guardian app, which I assume is what was being referred to:

https://www.theguardian.com/technol...1-apple-latest-update-older-apps-stop-working

I'm sceptical that any decent app won't be updated if need be. Not a tragedy to lose abandoned apps.
The article is about Apple relationship with developers and I take it from users perspective.

Apple is removing all 32-bit applications from the Store search engine, but you can still access Store by direct links. People using older 32-bit devices (older than iPhone 5s) can only run 32-bit apps, so they need these obsolete apps. It is arrogant, but still not a crime.

Apple is busy completely removing 40+ thousand applications from the Store. Customers who previously purchased these applications and paid real money did not get opportunity to download these applications to their PC using iTunes. It happens without warning. Downloading an app from a developer Web site is not an option. If users don't have a local backup they can't install these applications again from the Store. Even if users have local iTunes backup and for some reason have to reinstall iTunes, they would have to re-authorize all purchases with Apple. As apps are removed from the Store they won't be able to authorize previous purchases. In other words Apple steal people money.
