With Apple's media event scheduled to kick off in under three hours, Apple has taken its online stores around the world offline.
The change is standard operating procedure for Apple ahead of major events and new product releases.

Mmmm, the iPad 2 could be available today in the US.
 
What no speculation on what is going to be announced?

Going by the last couple of events - most of which have left me underwhelmed - I not holding out for too much besides the iPad 2.

And and whole lot of "new way of doing business" for Apple to start looking after small business. i.e. the type of stuff that will put the tech pundits to sleep.

So my flyer, straight out of left field prediction, is that Apple will announce a more direct presence in a lot of smaller markets - like buying out Core and establishing an official presence here. Short story, third party resellers are out on their ear.
 
From what I have seen, looks like mobileme is going to become free (or free-ish), and a lot more cloud based services.
And then yes, iPad 2, maybe an iPhone something (like a smaller iphone) but i doubt it.
And they might touch on the new macbooks, but like just mention it.

Main thing will be ipad 2

New category of device, between phone and laptop, revolutionary and at a great price.
We sold 8 million in Q4 2010 and 2 million so far this year, isn't that AMAZING.
People just love the iPad.

And the apps, they're great, we sold 11 Billion apps so far, 1 billion on iPad and made 40 bazilion, quintillion dollars for developers.
Wow, amazing...
 
Last week Forrester Research released customer satisfaction data for iPad and 98.998795% of customers rate their experience "OMG I'm so satisfied, I just came in my pants" happy.

And if you don't think that that's AMAZING, let me remind you that there have been hundreds of other devices announced by our competitors - and they are all downright ***. lets watch a video of little kids stomping up and down on the samsung galaxy tab. And those are the kids of the samsung ceo.

Basterds... iPad 2 is a totally new design... 9x faster graphics, dual core processor... sounds like its going to ship immediately.
