If that is a current price, it's the cheapest i've seen
but at 26k you want an official product, no good if apple won't honour the warranty because it's a grey product.
Just so you know there is no such thing as "Apple" in South Africa. There is the Core group who are the official Apple appointed distributor, and Microtek who are the Apple appointed distributor of parts.
When you take a machine in for repair, to any authorsied reseller, they will plug the the serial number of the machine into an online database which tells you 2 things.
1. is the item still under warranty (sometimes the technician will need to investigate further as the warrenty is from the day the machine was bought not when it was issued)
2. from which VAD (Valued added distributor) the machine originated.
Now what sometimes happens in South Africa, because of the grey "problem" is that the Core group wont honour warranties for machines that don't come from South Africa. However, and this is were the controversy lies, Apple machines have a international warranty and any authorised service center in the WORLD is obliged to honour that warranty, FREE OF CHARGE.
Know your rights, and don't let anyone tell you that you machine is not covered because its "grey."
*this info may have changed since I was last involved with warranties about 6 months ago.
