Aramex global shopper

I already have an account with Aramex, any way I can use that discount on my current account?

Yes, when you pay for the shipping, pay with your FNB card instead of paypal, and use that card's 6 digits as part of the discount voucher.

You expect too much it seems :P

Sadly not all humans follow the same etiquette.

Guessing he's pissed coz I called support at 4PM on the second day that the package was "Out for delivery" - previous day was "Beyond Delivery area", which either means he couldn't find the place, or didn't bother to look - in either case, I could have been called, but never was - and he was probably told by the office to get his ass out to the delivery.

Still, manners cost nothing. In this instance I did nothing untoward, so for him to be pissed was his own doing.

Some people just have bad days, we are only human. Usually they are very friendly. I use AGS quite often and I once almost got rode over by an Aramex van when crossing a busy road as he wanted to wave hi to me. :D

BTW, I always get "Out for delivery, beyond delivery area". My theory is that the "delivery area" is JHB, as that is where Aramex is located. Anything else is beyond delivery area.

Aramex GS FTW. I'm on my 15th purchase without any hiccups! Even sneakers from the states arrived without issue.

Rules to follow. Upload an invoice as soon as you can. Pay as soon as they ask for payment. That way your delivery is streamlined.

Things to know - New York and London will be slow as they process a higher volume of AGS & Aramex parcels. If you want fast try ordering from China through Hong Kong. Germany is also fast. Turkey is cheaper for east Europe parcels as they are in Zone 2 but, well...(Revolution!!).

:D

What are your duties like?

Item has been sitting for 5 days in customs :/ Wish they would get moving.

Send an email to Vusi in JHB every 2 days asking for an update. Bug the **** so badly out of him that he will be desperate for customs to just get that damn parcel to that bloody customer.
I guess I'll have to do that. What Is his email address..? Is it on their site...?

What do you guys use as a consumer invoice for ebay purchases? Just the email order confirmation?

I'm sure there is a way to print an invoice via the purchased items list, then print to pdf.

Do a screen-grab of the invoice you received when you purchased and upload that. I try and avoid one that has postage added as postage from wherever to New York should not be of concern to customs here. Do not 'doctor' an invoice as this is fraud.

Well the one thing I have bought from Ebay thus far, I mailed the seller and asked for a consumer invoice, which he could give, as it is a shop that is the seller.

However was wondering for those items that you bid on, which is a once off second hand item from a private seller, who is not a shop, and definitely not going to produce a consumer invoice for me.

My eBay>Purchase History>View Order Details>Printer Friendly Page>Print

Never had an issue. I then attach the paypal invoice as well.

Another good tip is to try and arrange that your package arrives at the over-seas depot around Thursday, the foreign depots work over weekends so this means the package generally arrives sat/sun in SA and is processed first thing Monday. If your package arrives at OR Tambo thurs/fri it will sit there the whole weekend.

Nice, stuck in customs, I suspect it's the Battery I ordered. Their item restrictions PDF was 404'd when I sent the package.

Battery shouldnt be why its stuck at customs.

Battery will prevent it from flying at all as far as I know, its more a safety precaution than it is a customs issue.

So its another reason why it is at customs.

Strange it flew from Hong Kong->New York->Johannesburg and now it's stuck.

Do they provide land freight in these cases?

Edit: Sorted
