Aramex global shopper

My shipment details:
Delivered to NY hub on 13 July, appeared in my account on 21 July.
Arrived at JHB 25 July.
Cleared customs 29 July.
Delivered 30 July.
First time using AGS, all in all had a good experience.
Communication was terrible, but contacting them via Facebook and giving my reference number received from e-mails resulted in feedback being provided.

I would suggest contacting the social media team to assist if you are having any issues. Send an e-mail to the jnb email address, and provide them with the reference number.
 
I had another package appear in my account on Friday. They seems to be fine for now.

That said, the jhb side has delays as I’m still waiting for them to fix the customs error (although I paid the revised invoice) and deliver the damn thing.

What would be the best way for a friend in the UK to post me a gift?
I think it's biscuits. Max 1kg parcel.
I am seeing that the prices of posting it have increased over 200% due to the Corona bullshit.
And then there's the fear that it will get lost(stolen) if we use the Post Office.

According to SARS duty is 21%. If stopped customs will ask for the invoice.
That could be a problem if your friend doesn't have one.
Then SARS will charge you 21% duty on invoice. Then they will add on 15% VAT on the whole lot.
So your bikkies will incur duty of 36%, and firstly make your friend scramble for an invoice.
Rather ask your friend to send you £ via PayPal.

Cool, that's pretty normal then, they're obviously operating normally. Aramex is a bit of a pain, but their pricing is good.
 
Has anyone used Germany address? Any major delays at the moment? Might have a package delivered there later this week...

So, it is 21% on all amounts or does it differ? I can use that as a guideline?
 
Decent delivery times from my Amazon order. Slowly getting back on track.

Used it about a month ago; there was a week delay between delivery and processing and then it spent about a week in Joburg before being scanned; but that was at the time they closed the warehouse over a weekend. Imagine Germany is now operating quicker
 
Quick question about the shipment address for NY. Do I enter my code next to my name or in the space reserved for the second address line? Or both?

Thanks. Got something on the way to the Germany address now. Should be there by Friday. Do you have any contact email addresses for Germany just in case?

Use the online query system as the jhb team liaises with the Aramex guys overseas.

I’ve got 4 packages on the way, seems they are back to normal nearly.
 
If someone sends a package to the NY address using USPS will there be someone who signs for it?

Daniel Kotz has been singing for mine lol. That said, there are instances where it’s just dropped off without signing if it’s very busy or after hours.
 
I had a package delivered, and signed for, at the AGS Germany branch on Sat 1 Aug via DHL tracking, but no record of it yet on my AGS profile, nothing scanned in. Reply email from AGS states delay up to 15 days?
