Ok let me change my angle then for you guys who are leaving.... what are you hoping to achieve by telling all and sundry that you are leaving and it is the best decision you have ever made?

People who make these comments about leaving are only trying to combat the incredible amount of denial that South Africa exists on.

Things are changing, and fast. And not in the direction that they should.

But still there are people out there who haven't been touched by any of it, and they must be happy, because ignorance is bliss.

So you sell your business or close it down when imigrate.Who looses out the poor black man again.Chances are you had domestic worker or gardener and you used to pay more taxes than those 3- 5 million illiegal immigrants.The snowball affect is starting unless africans can prove to the world that they can survive by themselves.I do have faith in some but not the majority looking how many unskilled burdens on soceity there are.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

The "if you dont like it leave" attitude of SA is finally catching up with it as skilled experienced people leave the country.

As well as trying to ensure that some poor Brit, with misplaced feeling of guilt over colonialism, does not lose his life savings by investing in Africa to ease his "ancestral guilt".

In other words, to destroy the "race joins colonialist slave trade" card that Africa loves to play.

Quite prophetic, that place was referred to as the "Dark Continent" many, many moons ago. This I am afraid is the begining of the end. And the last one to leave wont even have to bother turning off the lights.

On the bright side (pun not intended), the copper theft should decrease, now that the end purchaser no longer has a method to rework it.

Oh man i'm out of here asap. Cant wait, 1st world New Zealand or Aus or even the UK.

UK for me. Just need to qualify for that highly skilled visa. 20 points short at the moment. Hope to get those in the next two years, 3 at max.
