During lunch I'm going to go burn the R20.00 I earned at work while writing this post in front of a Zimbabwean to make myself feel better.
 
Also pretty inaccurate on exchange rates. The best I can tell, they are using somewhere around a 1:7 ratio on the GBP:ZAR exchange. I am not sure that the internet was a thing back when that exchange rate was valid.
 
Says I am very high. Find that hard to believe. There are probably that many people in just the USA that earn more than me.

While it may not be accurate, I think a lot of people underestimate the number of poor people there are.

That and the fact that most people who post here aren't regularly exposed to people living in poverty which in turn gives a very skewed impression on what is "rich" and what is "poor".

Yeah, coz it's not like anyone becomes a doctor to actually help people. It's all about the $$$.

They help people in order to get $$$. Besides how long can you keep helping people if you don't even make enough money to eat every month? You'd be the one that needs help.
 
Top 0.03% by income, but only top 3% in terms of wealth. Goes to show how hard it is to 'catch' up in retirement/investments if you don't start early.
 
It seems that the income is very easy to be in top 1% but wealth is very difficult. To me the difference between income and wealth is too great for the calculator to be accurate and the wealth calculator seems to be more accurate
