There are about 7 billion people on this planet and the majority earn a pittance. For someone with an education it's not hard to make the 1% list in the world. It's actually a sad state of affairs so we should be very grateful for what we have even though many of us don't think we are doing that great.

Actually no.

Just discovered it depends on what currency you select. Either its adjusted for some kind of living cost factor or its complete bullsht. Its certainly not converted at market rate.

Using ZAR seems to stick me in a far "better" % than say GBP...about 6x as high.

That does explain why extrapolated figures felt weird though as per:

EDIT: Actually that kinda confirms its bullsht. Given that its listed as % of the world I'd expect to be broadly in the same range regardless of what currency I use. Yet its *wildly* different...way beyond currency fluctuations.
