It's quite disheartening to see the many negative views in this forum. It seems many here talk big ( moan, moan, moan, ANC this, Zuma that ) but when it comes to defending our constitution, country and life, it's just too much effort. Imagine that - it's too much effort to take a day off or lose a day of pay, to defend your way of life ... "You clearly missed the part where I said I get paid per hour. I'm not sacrificing pay for this". It looks like we're a bunch of pussies in this country ... only interested in ourselves, and no one else.

I would ( and will ) sacrifice a days pay ( yes I also get paid by the hour ) if there is any chance that this will make even the smallest difference. It's been mentioned before here but to reiterate, collectively we have a voice. And the more collectively we stand together, the more that voice will be heard!

If your work won't give you a days leave, or you're afraid to march, then fair enough. But everyone else should be in the streets making a noise. Let's show the powers that be, and the rest of the world, that we want change. And we're not afraid to ask for it!

In my books... an honest "I'm too scared to partake" will suffice. And I will assure you that your fears are valid/rational and more creditworthy than some of the utter shyte spewed to date.
How about when there is a thread in future involving corruption in SA. Or the state of the economy. Or the failing Rand - those with poorly thunk out excuses on here just STFU and hide in your hole.

At worst, the march is just going to push this country closer to the brink of chaos.
There are elements who are closely watching what happens on Friday, ready to push this thing in their own direction.
And they outnumber you.

The EFF may not be our enemy now at the moment, but don't be mistaken, they are not our friends.
What the EFF want for this country is FAR, FAR worse than anything you have seen thus far.

That's fine, but I respect them for partnering with the DA. I also respect the right of different political parties to have different opinions, which is the bedrock of democracy. South Africa HAS to move beyond its isolated little splinter groups fighting tooth and nail for their wildly different causes, to a more unified society that differs on a lot of issues but still is bound together by agreement against a common enemy. Even the ANC can recognise that that common enemy is within their own ranks now, so it's time they join the opposition in excising that cancer that's harming this entire country (as any respectable party that believes it still represents this country's best interests I'd hope they will have the moral integrity for that much).

To anyone doubting the effectiveness of such a march, consider the following:

All it takes is 5% of the effective population to be 100% effective in overthrowing a government or corrupt regime. This has happened many times through-out history. Twice in Cairo.

The people vastly outnumber these few A.ssholes at the top that pull the strings of our demise and misfortune. This goes for governments, banks and other organisations.

One huge advantage this country currently has is that almost EVERYONE is against Zuma(With the exception of a few chommie loyalists). Internally most of the ANC is against him, all the other parties are against him, Cosatu is against him. Private sector companies are against him(Thanks for ruining the rand..) etc

So you have the opportunity, the power, the favor, and the backing of millions of others to change things. Unless sick or unable due to some extreme circumstance, you should rise up and take a stand. None of us wants this beautiful country to become Zimbabwe 2.0 serving a small elite(Zuptas) while the rest of the country and the RAND is in shambles, a future hell hole for ourselves, children, friends and family.

Why on earth do this lot still support him? It looks like the older ANC supporters are anti Zuma while the majority of the youth are supporting him. I wonder if they aspire to be like him? No. I am implying, in fact saying it, that people are too damn lazy to stand up for what is right, but they are quick to b1tch and moan on social media about the country's downfall. An initiative like this clearly proves it.

The only changes that might take place this week, will happen if the ANC decides to make changes.
You guys can march until you are blue in the face, but the real change must come from them.
And history has thus far proven, that not much is gonna change from their side.
