I have staff to do the work. I don't actually handle the entire production process myself.
That's what a functioning economy does - it employs people.
And despite my post count, I am a busy person and have multiple other responsibilities.
Take a look at my daily average post count rather.
Post it here for us when you find it.

Keyboard warriors....many of them basically living on MyBB. No doubt many of them complaining about Zuma and ANC in many a thread but that's about as far as they will ever go. Pah. Wussies.

Probably actually aimed at me as well. But facts are my employer obviously recognises the value I add to the business despite my post count, so troll posts like that stick to me like accusations stick to Zuma.

A bank nor any large scale financial institution can't just simply shut down without massive repercussions. Hence why you organise with your department. Our entire team wants to go but only 3 can 1 from each team. If you can't you can't. I'm not for disrupting business and/or progress. Hopefully this march will remain as civil as mentioned but so far I'm actually kinda worried it wont.

Same at our employer. CEO even allowed people the day off but there needs to be planning done to make sure we have enough critical staff that day.

Now on that positive note, can we please stop the sniping? It's exactly against the spirit of this march and what this country needs, and it's the sort of division that Jacob Zuma is counting on to survive.

Those who can join the march, awesome. Those who truly can't, we understand that somebody has to keep the lights on. Those who want to but are too scared, are you going to live in fear your whole life? I am personally the furthest thing from a hardcore political activist, but just being a good little voter every few years is clearly enabling the rogue elements within the ANC to get away with murder and something needs to change.

So sad to see so many negative/cowardly selfish people on here, some of the common themes.
"People get the leaders they deserve" - and quite honestly I'm starting to think that many of the people here deserve Zuma.


"Zuma won't care so what is the point"
Nobody thinks that Zuma will care, the mass action is not for the benefit of Zuma himself, it is for those who have the power to remove him - and those people do still exist. Up until now they have not had the backbone to do it, but right now he is at the weakest point he has ever been and quite possibly the weakest point he ever will be. Many from his own organisation are speaking against him, the trade unions are speaking against him, even the communists are speaking against him.

The people in power need to find the courage to do the right thing, the more they see they have the support of the people, and the more pressure is applied on them the more chance that this happens (it's happened in the past it can happen again), this is what we are marching for, not for the benefit of zuma.

"It's inconvenient why can't it rather be closer to my home or on a weekend"
The whole point of making a profound statement is that it is inconvenient, when masses of people give up a day of work, their time, at short notice, on a day that doesn't suit them, this is a profound statement - it shows that this single thing (Zuma leaving) is more important to them than their own comfort. It is this sort of statement that makes a difference.
Petitions are convenient, any idiot can sign one just by clicking a button - this is also why nobody gives two ****s about a petition, they are meaningless - the world is not changed by petitions, nor is it changed by people waiting for a time and place that is convenient for them, it's changed by people who seize the moment and take a stand.

"I have to put food on the table"
You and everyone else, but if Zuma does not go soon thats going to become a lot harder. It will damage you a lot more than missing a days work will.
This is a prisoners dilemma at play here, we can all look after our own self interests and collectively lose, or for once we can stand up together and collectively win, for once consider not making the selfish choice.


"I vote that should be enough"
And when there is no next election or it becomes so rigged that it doesn't matter, what then? Will you just sit and cry on the forums about how unfair life is?


"I'm scared"
And you should be, so am I, but we should not let fear rule us, the time for talking is over it's time to actually do something.

Maybe i need to stress this more directly... You know what I mean about a dictatorship right? I think the idea of making a stand for true democracy might not have resonated well with you for some reason within all this corruption, considiring you might just one day lose that ability. It's not like the ANC's corrupt leader's best intrest is to play fair...

Trust me, if the dictatorship is so bad that we lose the right to vote, then marching is not going to do much either (except maybe get a bunch of people killed).
What you need at that stage is an armed uprising.
Then you will be wishing that you could rather go back to voting.
