So you don't think that writing off the entire (let's be honest here) black SAPS force as being private security for the black president has racist undertones? Honest to god, hand on heart, you are confident the writer wasn't implying that?

Unlike you laidback dopeheads under the mountain, we had our first protest gathering on Tuesday outside City Hall. Speakers were Mcedisi Jonas and Sipho Pityana with the entire NMBM MMC present. Google it, as you seem to be out of touch with real world news.

It highlights a problem with the general 'opposition' (being anyone anti-Zuma); even the 'opposition' can't agree on what needs to be done, so how do you convince someone who is a long time ANC supporter to try make a stand. If stats are anything to go by, the people who really can't afford to miss a day's work are most likely ANC supporters, so how do you convince someone like that you're fighting for their cause (in wanting Zuma out) and want them to join you when you're living a 'luxurious lifestyle' compared to them but aren't willing to sacrifice a little to make a change. Words matter but actions speak louder to the ordinary man on the street.

I think we acknowledge everyone has obligations but if no one follows through and marches tomorrow, I think it would speak volumes to the masses that this all is just a storm in a teacup

Dude people will find racism where there is none, simply because they choose to. There are people who revel in this sort of thing. It gives them joy to be offended by this perceived racism.

Stop being so defensive buddy. The truth is the truth here, and the truth is that a white guy writing off black people for being inept and implying that they're just going to defend another black guy with no proof is racist. Casual white racism isn't funny or to be tolerated, and it's one of the reasons we're even having to march in the first place: if black South Africans trusted white South Africans a bit more, then we'd have a far different political landscape. Can you not understand that, and you're calling ME the thick moron?

Not bait, but OK. He reckons that there will be violence from the pro-Zuma camp, and that the SAPS will not do much about it. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's hardly a racist statement, except to you who chose to see it as one :rolleyes:
