Best damn OS known to man.

With an OS the version is actually more of a boolean than a number. You are either running the latest or not. Might as well run 3.11 if you are not on 10.

Dual boot XP & 7

Hi grandma, when did you join myBB?

Yes. Some update ran last night, now my display driver is fcked, new Dell monitor doesn't display.

Dual Boot Win 7 on HD & 10 on SSD. Sticks with 7; 10 once a month. Did a update for win 10 on Tuesday and was impressed.

Most work PC's running Windows XP. Mine and a web server on Windows 7. The bosses Laptop has been updated to 10 but he is unimpressed that, after checking email, when shutting down to have updates not allowing him to turn off and leave office.

Nice environment you have there, nice and unsecure.

Yep. My win7 had issues and I decided to take the plunge. Oddly though, my pc seems slower on win10.

<<<<2004, see my Profile. Actually my current XP installation is almost as old > Windows folder created on 04 November 2005, 03:25:42 :p

With the dual boot I am slowly getting used to 7 but as XP runs everything fine I haven't bothered to go completely over just yet and my guess is by the time I eventually get to like 7, MS would have stopped security updates on that OS too.
Got a friend in the PC business who fixes and builds machines every day and only runs 7.
When I buy a new PC one day I will join the sheeple and install a new OS, I suspect 10.

Seen this happen before on other topics and forums where XP is mentioned, people start going mental over the old OS.
Never once had a virus nor issue with it and it runs and is connected to the internet 24/7.
Pinball works on XP, that’s all I am going to add.:D

Windows 10 runs flawless on all the machines I built and my Dell workstation. If it does not run well on your setup then build a proper machine.

No. will continue using trouble free Win8

Using Win 10 - not perfect, but best available

Putting things in perspective
We live in a superfast changing tech world, where new apps, new frameworks and permissions play a big role in our computing lives

Most of us bitch if an update for our phones not coming out fast enough, but some still cling to this scenario ?

Win XP - 24 August 2001
Win 7 - 22 July 2009
Win 8 - 1 August 2012
Win 10 - 29 July 2015

For reference to the above time line
Android 1.5 Cupcake - 27 April 2009

Work - still 7 for main device
10 for Dell Windows tablet

2x home PC also 10

Windows 10 on all my Pc's in the house and work Laptop. 2 Gaming PC's running Windows 10 flawlessly. I don't have a problem with the auto updates, they just happen and carry on like they should.
