ARGH CPU upgrade dilemma advice!!

AMD mobos>Intel mobos imo - especially since they're so flexible with their chipsets.

Esquire have the ASUS P7P55D for R1368 - it's pretty much as good and a great setup for the price if you include a Core i5 750. It lacks onboard graphics though.

Although I agree AMD have got very nice motherboards for the price.

Can your normal Joe buy stuff from Esquire?

As Mybroadband forum members we can buy from Esquire using with a temporary card using the code MYB001. It's great!

Basically you go there and you say you're from Mybroadband. They give you a temporary pass.

huh are you serious? Ouch! Well there goes that option then :/ Looks like it'll be AMD for me now.

well i don't care if it wouldn't have taken it I would have bought a new mobo anyway

Nothing wrong with AMD, I've always used AMD up till my current PC as AMD did not have anything to offer at the time. My next PC will most likely be AMD again.

Happy building ;)

*rubs hands in gleeful anticipation*

I'll have to reinstall windows will I?

Urgh...just when I got Win7 performing EXACTLY like I wanted I have to go and wipe it out and start again. Did Tolstoy have to rewrite Anna Karenina because of ink compatibility issues? I think not.

Well my pc has been performing like a dream since I dropped in my PhenomII 955.

The 955 performs like i7 920 in games, sometimes beating it. In apps it's just behind.
