Article: Abandon capitalism: Numsa

The National Union of Metalworkers of SA on Sunday called for capitalism to be abandoned saying it had failed South Africans.

"We at Numsa have no illusion that only a total destruction of capitalism and all it represents, can save the earth and give birth to a new civilisation," Irvin Jim told reporters in Johannesburg.

Until he offers a workable solution that is better than capitalism, he must keep quiet.

And the reason the people he talks about are still suffering after 20 years? SA has not embraced capitalism enough, could have changed SA around for the better in 10 years if they had wanted to...

LOL, African logic, communism fails around the globe, but we gonna make it work here, capitalism works around the world, but it has failed South Africa.
South Africa really is the most special place on the planet.
 
The real problem is we don't have capitalism in SA. It's a mixed and regulated economy. Even the fuel price is set by Caesar. Numsa is living in the past, tainted by failed models developed by DWEMs.

Oh - and that would explain why Russia, China and the USA are all now capitalist countries, along with the EU, while Africa holds the begging bowl?

This person, like many before him, craves power and the ability to extract wealth from those that lack power.

All these people are against capitalism because capitalism is the only economic model that works in an unopposed society.
 
The problem he has with capitalism is that you only get paid what you put in...no room for sitting around politicly all day without physically having contributed to the economy...
Yeah, capitalism is not ideal due to the greed of some humans, but it still offers everyone the best chance of a great lifestyle within a democracy. There's just to many examples....
