Article: Abandon capitalism: Numsa

so which risk taker would build roads, schools, bridges and all the other public goods that bring benefit to society but no profit?

which risk taker is going to ensure there are regulations and standards to protect consumers against unsafe products?

which risk taker is going to enforce contracts?

The risk takers that understand the value chain.

Where did you check that and who is stealing from the government?

not clued up on whats happening in the country then, did you not think it was possible for risk takers to steal from government and taxpayers?

I'll leave this without evidence so that you can think you are right and continue to live with your blinkers on, but the information is there for everyone to see.

This party could eventually kill the tripartheid alliance. They could eventual absorb the SACP and EFF which is a scary thought

Wow. Let's see. Who instituted etolls? Was it private citizens or was it government? Who failed to deliver books to schools? Private or government? Who killed discount medicine? Who killed cheap electricity?

Your belief that government is better than the private sector doesn't seem to work in South Africa. In fact, where has your ideas ever worked to bring the utopia you believe it can bring?

You don't bring the proof because it doesn't exist. You just hate rich people. You are prepared to sacrifice the entire economy to try hurt the rich when your stupid policies only give them more power. Look at Russia. Open your eyes.

I used the term risk takers in my previous reply to you as reference to people that take what money they have and put it into a business venture in order to get maximum return on their investment. In many cases the risk takers are the very same people who are managing your retirement annuity and investments. They rely on the principals of capitalism in order to build wealth.

By claiming those risk takers are stealing from the government can either indicate that you are not talking about the same people I am, or that you are so far out of depth here that your input should be ignored. Judging by your last, shall I say "open ended" comment I am beginning to think it is the later. You have no clue sir.

Yes, it will go from Tripartheid to Bipartheid and before they know it they are all Apartheid.

That sums up the most EFF supporters (and a crap load of ANC supporters)

I am referring to the exact same people you refer to, and I can confidently say that they steal from government and taxpayers, and not R200m but billions.

So the people inside Sanlam, Old Mutual, Momentum and other companies that invest your retirement funds in various capitalist ventures are stealing from the government? How do you come to that conclusion?

I don't have retirement funds, I am already drawing income from a pension fund I created and designed for myself.

And yes they are stealing from taxpayers. It is clear you are a sceptic and if you feel those people act in good faith and are walking around with halos ontop of their heads then I am not going to try and change your views.

Where the hell did he say that? Those people are often greedy as hell, but they are not stealing from government. And by creating your own retirement fund (and no, a Pension fund is a specific thing as is a Provident fund and you cant have made one as a personal private individual) you also partook in the capitalist system, even if it was something like buying a property to rent out.

Go sell an opel or something.

BTW, selling a car is also capitalist...

 :wtf: I now know the frustration good folks like Toxicbunny and genetic had to put up with... there is no point in reasoning here.

I am not stealing from taxpayers which is the point emotional person.

If you think these companies do not steal from taxpayers I'm not going to convince you otherwise, you seem convinced of your position already and nothing I say will change that.

You sure about that?

And how are these companies stealing from taxpayers? And don't proffer this bull of "the information is there for everyone to see". Substantiate your nonsense with some fact, or else it will remain as that- nonsense. But perhaps that is the point- baseless claims with no evidence.

I'm not going to substantiate anything, I don't see the point, if you are a sceptic you are a sceptic and nothing I put forward will change that.

So believe what you will. The evidence is there, if you can't see it its not my problem.

Cool. Baseless claims with zero evidence. Thanks.
