James Cameron and Christopher Nolan are the only two directors still making flock to the theatre proper blockbuster movies for me and I'll gladly do just that to watch them.

I'd watch it for the 3D alone. 2 was terrible because most of the visuals weren't any better than any other and the weak story made it worse. The first one had visuals (3D) and a somewhat passable, if unoriginal, story.

I watched it, 9/10 for me, really liked it, but was a big fanboy from 1 and 2 as well,
sure the story is a little bit like how the new world was conquered, and how Earth is a disgusting, polluted and dying world
(kind of like today only much worse)

and Human beings are dangerous, untrustworthy and violent monkeys hellbent on subjugation and exploration,
but that to me makes it more relevant than a lot of woke films out there.

will say about this one, the Navi themselves show their "human" side more than previous films,
they are just as primitive and violent and cruel as the humans who they claim to defend against.

I think we are being set up for that idea to go harder and more in depth for the next ones,
again, kind of like how the Native Americans culture/language/society were wiped out of existence from the new world,

worth a watch, bit long, 3 hours, but a lot happens.
 
If I want to go and see it at the cinema, it seems that I only have a few days left to do so. Unless Ster-Kinekor haven't updated the screenings list yet. But a run of barely a week seems very short? It only gives me options up to 24th of December when I choose "All Dates".

The basic premise means visiting familiar tropes and scenes becomes inevitable but F&A is definitely superior to WoW. There's a knockout character in Varang and the emotional core of the of the story runs deeper.
The visuals are also superior and more complex.
