Article: "Avatar 2" will take viewers underwater

Pffft, you label queens...

Some bot assistance will help

Here’s a quick sample count of a few dozen active / public discussions (articles, social-media threads, opinion posts) in the last few years referencing Avatar: The Way of Water and calling it “woke” (or raising closely related criticisms of cultural appropriation / colonialism / “wokeness”). I found at least:
  • ~1 prominent online forum thread explicitly titled about “why people say Avatar 2 is woke.” (Reddit)
  • ~3–5 different news / commentary-articles covering “woke” / “cultural appropriation” / “colonialism” criticisms of the film. (The Washington Post)
  • ~2–3 posts on social-media / activist-organized boycott campaigns / Indigenous-critic responses publicly labelling the film as inappropriate or “racist / woke.” (CNBC)
So — on a rough conservative estimate — around 6-10 clearly identifiable public discussions or major articles that directly label or frame Avatar 2 as “woke.”

I hope it’s woker. Can’t go watching something if it doesn’t move you.
Enjoy :)

Haha those articles say the movie is the exact opposite of woke. The articles are about wokes calling the movie racist towards native Americans. They even mention "blue face" lol.

Lol, 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, it's a divided camp as usual.

Am I the only one that could not get into 2 and stopped watching after a short bit?
No. It wasn't a very good follow up. The first one had the visuals to detract from any story issues. 2 lacks the immersion 3D and the bad story makes it worse. I will not be paying for 3. Trailers look unconvincing

If I'm honest I hardly paid attention after I guess 20 minutes, but had to see it through due to household interests.

#1 was good enough that I'll keep an eye on these developments though.

LOL read that as Avatar will take viewers underwear...

and for the record I have been shopping for briefs on BF.

Don't care how bored or curious, unless that increases to above 80 not eva gonna watch.
