Quite frankly it's embarrassing for both parties and a poor show by the opposition in this country.

After months of softening the shackled minds of the rural ANC supporters. Exposing them to the crimes and destruction of the ANC. I think Dr. Ramphele took it for granted that the vision and focus of the country was on change and removing the ANC from Government.
She's not a text book politician, and in her excitement she accepted the Presidential Candidacy nomination.
The ANC and EFF took the opportunity. They have a lot more megaphones than Agang and the DA. Their comments about, "Rent-a-black", "untrustworthiness.", "betrayal", and I'm sure there were spin doctors everywhere in the Agang community - it turned the situation vitriolic.
Black people are very indoctrinated into the belief that white people can't be trusted. They see the DA as an evil party - and they were ready to drop Agang and head back to the ANC, or join the EFF.
Of course the ANC need to be stopped, and that was the primary agenda of this coalition. From this litmus test, it is clear that there is still some work to be done before the country is free of ANC oppression - but it won't be these elections.
PS: It does show a little of Zilles wrath (why she has that trait, I don't know), but to add a potential 18 wheeler petrol tank to the fire and to tell people not to trust Dr. Ramphele and that it shows who Dr. Ramphele is.
I think Dr. Ramphele had a completely different vision to this when she made the public announcement, but it won't be these elections where the ANC is overthrown.
I hope she can save Agang.
