The DA wants to win Gauteng in next year's national elections so the province's residents get proper service delivery, the party's national spokesman Mmusi Maimane said on Sunday.

"We do not want to win just to add another point to our scoreboard," Maimane said in a speech prepared for delivery in Evaton, Emfuleni.

"We want to win so that, for the first time, the government of Gauteng will serve the people of Gauteng. So that, for the first time, you, the voters, will be in charge."

I reckon Pretoria is realistic, Joburg, especially soweto will in my view always be ANC ally.
