I always post the truth as I see it. What I say is clearly unpopular, this creates troll alerts all the time.

Instead of voting to give yourself a voice and choose who you want, you instead vote with the intention of countering someones else's "voice", that's called being a dick, not even a troll.

As far as I know is the DA ruling the Western Cape and I don't see any signs of apartheid! Only in the mouths of the ANC. Remember that the people that stood for apartheid was the old NP which is now within the ANC!

I'm not black. Most of my friends that have convinced me to vote DA are black though. And as soon as they get rid of Zuma, I may ever vote for the ANC. I don't complain about my country because I love it and I can only hear people cry wolf so many times before I get sick of the drama, but I need to show the goverment that I don't approve of what they're doing besides chatting to peoplle.

The ANC will never disappear, I'm expecting SA to turn into a two party state

I asked you last time and you didn't answer, so I'll ask again. Why? Zuma is far from being the only thing wrong with the ANC. He's a symptom, not a cause.

Saks, I'd like to know why you are voting the ANC, I am sincerely interested. I am not going to interrogate you or judge you, I want to understand why it matters to you.

Also, people, nobody wants to swim across a river to get to the other side if the other side is full of *******s. Being degrading and insulting has never built character or made the world a better place

He already told us. To negate another black person's vote for the DA.

Last time I missed it.

I'm going out on a wing here and I'm assuming that many ANC supporters would be thrilled voting in the DA just as I'd be thrilled voting in a chinese government, not matter how much better they are, I cannot relate to them, this is what saks has said before. It's not a racial thing really, it's a cultural and patriotic thing.

The DA has better policies than the ANC, their answer to BEE is better(most members here don't support it at all, but hey, it's the DA), their approach to spending and security is superior and they have virtually no corruption.

For me personally, Helen isn't a bad person, she governs well, she has a sense of humour, but she makes me grits my teeth whenever I see a news article on her. I don't like their opposition stance, I disagree with Ghoti there, in much the same way satanism isn't satanism but humanism without christianity.

A lot of people vote for the DA because "they're not the ANC". That is like me buying mcdonalds "because it's not KFC". A lot of people who vote DA cannot relate to poorer communities or people who rely on the ANC. Even this thread, it's too much effort to be civil and discuss with saks what he believes and to listen respectfully, so why should anyone listen to us when we have something to say about the DA?

I'm not asking people to go build a ****ing school, but I don't understand why people feel so threatened when they're approached by am ANC supporter. You don't need to have respect for the ANC, but the least people can do is respect someone until they know why they do.

But this is where we come to bitch and moan. We want the country to change, but not really, I mean it's too much of an inconvenience to be nice for 10 minutes and hope sharing ideas or solutions will inspire somebody to change their vote or have the same argument someone else.

CA is for whiners and as I recently found out, people that turn a blind idea to idiotic remarks. A person who says they will vote the ANC gets more flak than someone suggesting kids under 10 should get castrated. Seems we have different priorities.

If people DON'T want to make this country a better place, at least get out of the way of people that do

I am certain some ANC members cringed when that statement were made, they stooped low this time and is an embarrassment to all citizens. It is the ANC who enforces inequality…

The thing is... I think everyone is cringing at the moment.

The biggest load of rubbish is coming from both sides and its embarrassing.

This is only true for ill-informed or uneducated people in my experience. I don't mean that in a derogatory sense. Just that the only reason you'd vote according to those reasons is because you don't actually understand how democracy works, don't have easy access to information that is necessary, or just haven't had the chance to get a proper education. And for plenty of people, it most emphatically is a racial thing, saksakgp being a case in point. He has told us so numerous times.

What do you mean? Do you want them to be the opposition some other way? The whole point is to point out where the governing party isn't doing its job. It just so happens that the DA is usually correct in their assessment of what the ANC is doing. Not that that's a special achievement. It's usually not difficult to see what the ANC are doing wrong.

People accuse the DA of always moaning and not doing anything, which is patent nonsense. They are offering solutions, in theory and practice. They are offering an alternative government, not just sitting on the sidelines moaning.

Wut? :wtf: What satanism is that? Not theistic satanism, and not LaVeyan satanism...

Well, there is a certain priority before us as voters, and that is to diminish the ANC's death-grip on Parliament and government. I'd rather have more people vote for the DA rather than not, even if it's just because "they're not the ANC". In an ideal democracy this would hopefully not be the case, but we don't have (and won't likely soon have) an ideal democracy. Likewise, I don't think every person who votes for the ANC sympathises with morons like Nceba Faku, for example. Still, you can't abstain from voting just because you disagree with some things about the party, else you'll never partake in the democratic process in any way, ever. That way folly lies.

I've asked numerous people why they vote ANC, in real life and on here, and no one has ever given me a remotely good or convincing reason. saksak's is one of the stupidest I've ever seen, though.

Your truth comes across as irrational and spiteful. Your opinions are based on colour (which is a concept that f#cked this country in the first place). You accuse non-whites that vote for the DA as being defeatists. You are unable to offer a single rational reason as to why you will vote ANC other than their skin tone makes you feel comfortable. You have also accused the DA and its supporters of favouring a return to Apartheid policies and all without a single iota of evidence to back such a claim.

Well seems like God also likes the DA more than the ANC. Does this mean God endorses Apartheid?
The ANC should shut the f up and start working for the citizen. As long as they get my tax money they should work and stop spending it on parties, cars and bloody houses. It's my money and I demand they start helping the poor. And if they are incapable of that they should be disbanded and GTFO.

It's because of people like him that this country will end up like Zim.
When the shlt hits the fan, he'd either be the first to leave the country or first in line begging for help from other countries.
Fcking shlt up : Level anc

Whites in this country have never had a history of democracy so I don't understand why they are suddenly the sages of "how democracy works".

So because the older generation of whites cocked democracy up it is okay for the ANC to become a one-party, press-controlling dictatorship? Makes sense.

And it isn't just us whites who are critical. Global opinion on South Africa is dropping fast and we do pretty badly when reports are done on freedom of press and corruption. Not to mention our students are as thick as bricks according to a recent global education survey.

But yeah, darn the whites for voicing their displeasure at the ruling government.
