The DA's statement that it will take over Gauteng after the elections is a pipe dream, the ANC in the province said on Tuesday.
"The DA fails to run Western Cape and Midvaal. It is unimaginative of the DA to take over Gauteng," spokesman Dumisa Ntuli said in a statement.

South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) is so divided among different factions that it is “a complete mess” and ill-prepared for this year’s local elections, according to a leaked document from Wikileaks’ Cablegate scandal.
The October 29, 2009 document, first reported by South African daily City Press, documents a meeting between ANC Gauteng spokesperson Dumisa Ntuli and an American diplomat.
