Article: Fuel to increase by 29 cents

Motorists will have to dig deeper into their pockets as the petrol price is to increase by 29 cents next month.

The Energy Department announced that the price of petrol across all grades will rise by 29 cents making it R10.25 cents a litre in Gauteng. At the coast, a litre of petrol will cost motorists R9.95 cents.

Does anyone else see how absurd it is that Caesar announces the fuel price? We have a Fuel Commissariat, like any good commie state. It's grotesque, in my view.

If we're going to be commie, why not simply pass a law crediting everyone's bank account with R10m - it would be far easier than micro-managing things like the fuel price, the bread price, the mielie price, the banana price, etc.

That is not the problem. The problem is that the price of everything increases with it, but won't decrease again when the price of fuel decreases.

exactly, the price goes up over a period of time by R2, when things are back to "normal" they drop it by R1.10 and expect us to be happy with it.

We used to have a work from home policy, and I am using this as motivation to bring it back. Im looking at over 2k a month now on petrol and its starting to get ridiculous
 
I like this government. Forcing the people to go on diets so that we're not as obese as other nations.

Keep up with the good work.
 
I started taking the the train about 4 months ago. At that time my petrol was already R2400 a month.

Sure now I only pay R384 a month for my ticket, but that includes at least a week of being late for work. Wish they would fix our public transport problem already. :cry:

Me too! I also blame the ANC government for the troubles they caused in the Middle East and spurring the economies of China's demand for oil :mad:

dude i know exactly how you feel , i use to take the train to work aswell then i got an uno . tbh i prefer the train even if im 20 minutes late ! R1400pm over R384 is a big difference !

I for one welcome this turn of events.
I am sick of being able to afford a whole 2l of milk every week. Thank you government for making my budget easier to handle.
