Article: Govt must answer to citizens: Zuma

Wahahaha ahahahahah

*breathes*

hahahahahahahaha *falls over*

Sorry Showerboy, until it actually happens we won't really believe it.

hahahahahaha
I think Zuma walks the talk, he expressed his commitment to service delivery by firing some members of his cabinet. He said he would do this when he took office and went on to prove it by acting it out. Good Job Mr. President, I can feel government working under your watchful eye.

Well to his credit, I think he knows that there are things he doesn't know about, so he is more likely to take advice from the knowledgeable.
His cabinet reshuffling, was a clear message that he's willing to play hardball within his own party too, which is ideal.

Cabinet reshuffling is nothing but bright daylight proof that nobody in government is accountable for anything whatsoever.

I don't think you need anyone on this board to tell you that that statement is going to be extremely hard to back up with facts...

Jesus, I must have been brought up in an imperialistic family because I thought you were responsible for the job you do not matter what job it is... Now the president has to tell us this?

Accountability is something new to our government, and not quite related in any way to the person's income or perks, much like job qualifications.

I hear 2kgs of speeches & promises have the same nutritional value as 50 loafs of bread.;)

And if you cast 50kgs into sheets then you can use it to build houses.

They thought Accountability had something to do with accounting... that's why they don't bother to keep records of how they spend tax-payers money :(

Old umshini-slang is just catering to what people want to hear again. If govt much be accountable then you, el prezidente, is the top person to be held accountable. Lets start with your corruption trial, why hasn't that happened? Where's the continued investigation into the arms deal? How can you allow ministers to buy multi-million rand cars during a time when people were struggling to make end meet through the recession? Probably the biggest question on everyone's mind is why the hell isn't your shady buddy Shabir dead yet? Answer the people this!

Good Job Mr. President, I can feel government working under your watchful eye.

And the masses fall for the same speech every time, really sad.
Actions speak a thousand words!

Those were tougher decisions than Mbeki firing Zuma. Its a step in the right direction.

Reshuffling the cabinet had nothing to do with the reasons all of you provided in your various posts.

Ir was done to strengthen his alliances in the party, i.e. punish those who are not loyal enough, reward his friends for their support and loyalty and making sure he has the right people around him when he decides to stand for a second term as President.
