Article: Israel attacks barbaric: ANC

Israel a despotic regime? Really? Bwahahahahah
How came there are Arabs in gvt?
More propaganda from Mosque?

See you think it is a religious issue, its not.Its a greed issue,if Israel and Palestine were to be made into a single state with equal rights for both sides regardless of religion I would be happy. In fact right now probably only a completely secular state could achieve this,an Arab state or Jewish state(and no I don't mean the current Zionist state) cant achieve this in the area.

I cannot understand why you continue to respond to this fool. He clearly supports Israel in mass murder of the Palestinians and laughs about it. We all know Israel is a despotic regime and sadistic one as well and this fool defends them.

marine1 "Are you that blinded and stupid not to see whats going on or are you a Zionist Jew? There can be no other logical reason"

Then you support the state of Israel.

Its the Palestinians that want to be separate. Arabs in Israel have the vote.

What mass murder has been committed by Israel? Do you even know what 'despotic' and 'sadistic' mean? Or even 'Zionist'? And did you have to include the word 'Jew'?

He does not support Israel. He mentions a solution where both Israelis and Palestinians can live peacefully which will never happen. This conflict did not start 2 weeks ago but 60 years ago when the Palestinians lost their country, stolen from them by European settlers and backed by the worlds big powers. They have become refugees, their homes and land taken away from them and they will never accept it and by just existing they are resisting and in order to remove them they need to be exterminated. Israel would erase them from existence if they could. If your home is taken away from you would you accept it, nobody would. This is the essence of the problem, the Palestinians require by all legal and moral rights to return to their own land. No matter how many Palestinians are killed more will be born and even though they have been removed from their land scattered across the world they will never forget and will return and keep on resisting. If your entire family brothers, sisters, children, fathers and mothers were killed would you ever want to live peacefully together with the very same people that murdered them.

As I see it this conflict has no end in sight. I find it shameful that most of the western world supports only Israel and compassion is only given to Israelis. We see pictures of Gaza with bright orange and black smoke filling up the sky next to images of Israelis hands in pockets looking into the clear sky for any sign of rockets and yet people say its perfectly OK for the Israelis to continue the carnage.

Why don't you find it shameful that Palestinians (seeing that we're generalizing) attempt to murder Israelis everyday and that they're quite happy to push their children in the path of bombs?

Why is 60 years ago (or 66) so important? Why not 2500 years ago? Or 5 years ago? There wasn't a Palestine 60 years ago.

It would be interesting to see how Israel and other states like Saudi Arabia who require US military funding get along after the US stops funding them

Nothing much would happen, except American Arms manufacturers would go to the wall.

Military aid to Israel is effectively a subsidy for the American arms industry.

I come from an uninformed position when I say this but...

It always seems to me like the Palestinians shoot at Israel but then when Israel shoot back or retaliate people get all crazy about it.

It's like throwing exceedingly big rocks at a tank and not expecting it to eventually aim it's turret at you.

So what's the deal?

A Complicated and LOOOOoooooong story, now over-simplified and shortened by whole lot:

1)Israel started shooting back after the Palestinians shot rockets at them...
2)...because Palestinian-Gaza is completely boxed in (land, air, water) by Israel,...
3)...because the Palestinians previously shot rockets at Israel...
...)
40)...because Israel took all of Jerusalem...
41)...after Palestine&Friends attacked Israel (and lost the fight, 1967)...
...)
50)...after Israel divided Jerusalem and countryside just like Israel wanted too, instead of sharing it equally...
...)
60)...because Palestinians&Friends attacked Israel (and lost the fight, 1948)...
61)...while everyone was discussing dividing up the area equally into Palestine, Israel and an international Jerusalem...
...)
700)...because they both actually lived there for a really long time, saw a couple of burning bushes and just don't like each other because neither can remember precisely where... (allot of Jews did leave around 100AD and later came back in during the 20th century).
...)
8000)...because everybody at one point in time marked their tree and now feel that area is theirs instead of recognizing each other as brothers and countrymen.

Personally I think its the extremist element on both Israeli AND Palestinian sides that is causing all the drama, and that most of the people on both sides would rather prefer to just live, love, grow old and be happy.

Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.

If after sixty years my old home land has been taken away and resistance was futile, I think I would stop bitching about the past and move on. Or you could live a crap life and resist for the rest of time. Your choice.

But obviously that would be giving up. Oh no, religious indoctrination doesn't know the meaning of giving up. Here take this bomb and blow up the enemy.

EFF to shake up Palestine

Cape Town - The Economic Freedom Fighters are going to Palestine, EFF MP Magdalene Moonsamy vowed on Wednesday.

Speaking from the back of a truck outside Parliament's main gates in Cape Town, she told a massed crowd of pro-Palestine demonstrators that her party stood with them.

“We are going to go to Gaza... we pledge solidarity with the people of Gaza,” Moonsamy said.

Earlier, thousands of chanting demonstrators streamed up Plein Street and gathered outside the parliamentary complex.

The huge crowd, which stretched over several city blocks, held aloft scores of banners and posters, calling for an end to the violence in Palestine's Gaza Strip.

“Israel should be wipe (sic) out of the map” and “Netanyahu: Hitler's clone” were among the poster messages displayed.

The march comes a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that his country was set to “expand and intensify” its campaign against the Palestinian organisation Hamas.

The Jewish state has been conducting air strikes against the Palestinian territory in retaliation for rockets fired out of Gaza into Israel.

Palestinian officials claim at least 200 people have been killed in the air strikes, including children.

“Free, free Palestine!” the protesters chanted outside the parliamentary complex.

Posters held aloft by the crowd proclaimed: “Israel murders children in Gaza” and “Viva Palestine, Viva Hamas”.

A group of men wearing taqiyah skullcaps carried a large Palestinian flag.

Speaking to the crowd, several of whom were wearing the distinctive EFF red beret, Moonsamy also called on government to expel Israel's ambassador to South Africa, and to withdraw its own ambassador from Israel.

Outside Parliament's main gates, a dozen policemen, some in body armour, stood impassively behind a strand of yellow tape.

Close by, a young Muslim boy, dressed in a long robe with a keffiyeh scarf draped round his neck, held up a hand printed poster calling on South Africa to “boycott apartheid Israel”.

Demonstrators packed the intersection of Plein and Roeland streets, and spilled over into the grounds of St Mary's Cathedral, where a life-size statue of Christ on a wooden cross formed a backdrop to a sea of chequered head gear and speakers calling for an end to Zionism.

The march was organised by the Muslim Judicial Council.

A memorandum was later handed over to the chairman of Parliament's international relations portfolio committee, Siphosezwe Masango.

By 1.30pm, demonstrators could be seen moving peacefully away in small groups down Plein Street.

And here I was thinking no good could possibly come from this conflict.....

Oddly, the extreme sides, need each other to justify their existence to their populace.
