Article: It's Supermoon!

I'll quote Neil deGrasse Tyson on this:
Moon Lunacy strikes again: The impending Supermoon is to an average full Moon what a 16" Pizza is to a 15" Pizza. So chillax.

A 'Supermoon' also occurs almost every year. The previous one was on 19 March 2011. So not such a huge occurrence at all.

A full Moon will occur at perigee once every 411.776 days (i.e. P(perigee&full)=411.784, or just less than once per year

True Crusader ... they do happen frequently, but it's pretty close (relative). In fact last years was 221,567 miles (closest in 19 years) ... this years 221,802 miles ... and the closest for the whole 21st century will be 221,535 miles in November 2016.

Random fact - the closest moon in the 20th century was January 4th 1912 ... a few months before Titanic hit an iceberg that isn't usually in the area. They (experts) speculate that the moon caused a greater tide which released the usually static icebergs out into the oceam

If that is the case then said poster can regard the linked article as an extended lesson in properly expressing thoughts in writing. :p
I tried to put it as simply as possible, apparently I failed. :o

Let me rephrase. . . the moon isn't actually any bigger today than it was a month ago, it only appears bigger. Better? :)
