The validity of a learner's licence has been extended from 18 to 24 months and driving licence tests may now also be taken on Sundays.

Some good news. I struggled to get my licence years back (2000) due to the long queues ... etc. Took me 3 learners licences before I got my drivers licence appointment (4 yrs).

That makes it cheaper than a proper bike license renewed every 5 years.

This will not effect currently issued learners, your licence's expiry date is your licence's expiry date.

I got my license appointment in less than 3 weeks in 2003, but then again it was in the country side.

I think its only for people that will be writing the learners now not the one you currently have as on it is already an expiry date.

Sold my bike a few months ago so my learners just expired so I will have to go again soon and then directly after that to get the license then thats out of the way.

they might as well extend a drivers to 10-15 years and 5 year intervals once you hit 60 +...., lets be honest, it is just a money making scheme,

Had to redo the driving lisence 2x coz I never managed to fit my car into the parralel parking zone 100%

always had 8-10cm sticking out lol >.<

go to any empty parking lot with a friend and practice, practice, practice until you get it right.
