Well it's a non argument so I don't really care. If you want exact figures on how many black people where raped, beaten, tortured etc, google it.

No, I don't. I just wanted to know what a 'large percentage' was.

If you were talking about quantities I am sure that just 1 person raped, tortured, beaten etc would be too large a number.

LOL, apartheid must have been so lovely for everyone judging by the comments. It makes me wonder why the black people of SA fought for freedom if it was such a paradise.

Jeez....crap like this really scares me. I really hope the voters in Cape Town is smart enough to know better and keep the ANC out of their Provincial government. I have gone from disliking the ANC to hating them and for everything they stand for. They are hell bent on turning this country into your typical African failed state.

Exactly. Guess what? It happened, and there is no denying that it did.

It's still a non argument as a large percentage of the population did experience discrimination, and many of those people did experience at least one of the things I mentioned. So what if i did not accurately pin point the exact figures of how many people where tortured etc. You cannot deny that these things occurred.

And a large percentage of this minority were against the system and did their best to halt this discrimination despite fear of reprisals - yet they fall in the same category as the oppressors?

That is the problem in judging people based on skin colour as opposed to who and what they really are.

That is the crux of the biggest problem in SA. We are all so obsessed with skin colour that we forget that we are all basically the same, with similar wants needs and ideals.

Except maybe ANC politicians, they seem to be from another planet.

Cape Town - Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe on Wednesday took ANC youth league leader Julius Malema to task for referring to Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille as a cockroach.

"We must put our points across without trying to demean each other," he told the National Assembly during question time.
