That would be 2D with colour being the 2nd dimension.
no 2d implies that there are two axis. (in reality a line or even a point cannot be in dimension as it always has a width.) However we use lines to represent dimension.
In engineering for example, forces are resolved to their x, y and z dimension. Then they are added in 1 dimension each and then the final resultant is found in 3d.
You use 1 dimensional analysis to solve a 3d problem.
you can also use a number line (getalle lyn, )
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.....
this is a basic form of a 1d graph, it proves that 10 is bigger than 1.
1d graphs are quite useless to be honest. They can be better represented with a 2d graph, but it doesn't mean that they do not have a use at all.
