You have mentioned Vodacom twice in the OP.

Not a MyBB error, but a terrible logic fail by Reuters in the Facebook and Google both set eyes on Waze article. The final sentence reads

Waze uses satellite signals from members’ smartphones to generate maps and traffic data, which it then shares with other users, offering real-time traffic info.

I find myself wanting to know a whole lot more about (non Iridium, etcetera) smartphones that are capable of direct satellite communication!
