Article Mistake corrections

Both messages are fake, as stated by Sabric. I am unsure as to what you mean - could you elaborate?

Ok, now read the following "fake" message 2 carefully and please highlight anything that is not totally correct:

SABRIC strongly urges banking customers to be alert at all times about their financial dealings even when receiving information that is seemingly credible and helpful.

“We advise bank customers to validate any unsolicited information that they receive either by email, telephone or even hearsay with their banks prior to acting upon it. The banks have dedicated call centres to deal with client queries and the public should make better use of them. The alertness of bank clients is often the best preventative measure against many bank-related scams.”

SABRIC has the following tips for ATM users:

Be vigilant when performing an ATM transaction and be aware of your surroundings.
Always choose an ATM that is in a well-lit and safe environment.
Ask someone you know and trust to accompany you to make your ATM transaction if you feel unsafe.
Notify your bank and the police immediately if you fall victim to a bank-related crime.
Never let anyone distract you when making an ATM transaction.
Never ask anyone to assist you with your ATM transaction; rather go into the bank.
Never force your card into the machine; rather use another ATM machine.
Make sure that there is no one watching you when entering your secret PIN number; shield the ATM keypad with your other hand.

I'm pretty sure you wont be able to and that there is content missing and that what I have quoted, which is titled fake message 2, is actually what sabric said one should do.

Please upload the missing content that is supposed to be fake message 2 and correct the formatting of the the correct message from sabric.

Well then they made the mistake and you should not repeat their mistake, read what you posted, is that a fake message? Read your quoted text and highlight one thing that is not factually correct (and thus not fake).

Go ahead, read it and think about it.

Sabric said the message is fake. The reasons for them calling it fake can relate to its formatting or language used. Sabric has stated the message is not from them.

If you think Sabric has made a mistake, you should contact them.

There is no fake message. Delete the article and you can contact them and verify and then republish. And if what is shown now is correct I will publicly apologize and donate R1000 to charity of your choice. If not removed I will take it up with the appropriate remediation body.

Or maybe you will investigate tomorrow and we allow time for verification till say Friday end of business day to avoid such unpleasant happenings? (my offer about the charity still would stand but I am pretty certain I am correct)

Kevin is right...

"While some of the messages have been taken from the SABRIC website, in an attempt to give these messages credibility, SABRIC denies having issued or disseminated any such message. Please also note that this is part of the scam where people are advised to input their PIN in reverse at ATM’s."

I see the point, but there is not one iota of falseness in the second one, it should just not be there.

Please visit the Sabric website - https://www.sabric.co.za/ - On the homepage it is being stated that two messages are claiming to be sent from Sabric. The two messages are reproduced and marked with numbers 1 and 2. These messages are not from Sabric, and Sabric has called them "false information".

Below is a screenshot of the messages. If you know something Sabric does not, you should contact them so they can update there website.

Have to agree with Kevin here , Mybroadband is just posting what Sabric posted and if some one did write a message purporting to be Sabric it is a fake message regardless of the content

Ok I get what he's saying. These things are NOT from SABRIC, even if some of it is valid tips.

Makes sense now with context.

Mistakes in https://mybroadband.co.za/news/industrynews/202264-hit-the-road-with-jack-parow-on-showmax.html in order of appearance:

'the new KykNET series Dis Hoe Ons Rol, now available on ShowMax.' - double space between the comma and 'now'.

'spend 30 days visiting nine local provinces' should read 'visiting the nine provinces' unless they plan on going abroad as well.

Also, 'program' should be 'programme' unless you're talking about an actual computer program. SA and British standard spelling (which you should be using) use programme for everything except software.

'Fans of Jack Parow, and even those who don’t know his music will,' add the comma to break the sentence up.

love it, except your comma error at the end: Fans of Jack Parow, and even those who don’t know his music, will...

In the article: https://businesstech.co.za/news/bus...-can-fix-roads-then-charge-government-for-it/

Paragraph 3: 'and civil society group' should be 'civil society groups'

Paragraph 1 and 5: Date formats are not consistent

Paragraph 6: 'persons' should be 'people' (according to the OED, 'persons' is used in legal or formal contexts to refer to a unspecified individual, in SA law, 'persons' refers to a distinct legal entity under the Law of Persons.)

Paragraph 6: 'on a case by basis' should be 'on a case by case basis'
