I am sure there will be electrical alternatives available should this happen.

The point is that just because some knob in government says that it's a crime, doesn't make him right.

That is why there is processes to implement new laws.

I don't agree with alcohol either but I have never heard of someone dying of liver failure because they sat next to someone drinking excessively. However, many people die each year because of 2nd hand smoke.

And even if it hasn't caused me to die yet, people like you's smoke has made my throat and head ache, not to mention sinuses flaring up.

You bunch of hypocrites would rather breath in the fumes from a billowing putco bus while sitting in traffic. Never mind your carcinogenic braai and deep fried takeaway food and the gazillion of pills you pop every year.

I don't think it's your place to decide what people spend their money on, and how useful it is to them. And driving a car is far more unhealthy in terms of second hand smoke.

I think you're fat, maybe government should police your diet....anything more than a bowl of pap a day can cause you heart diseases... you don't need your house, its to big, lets get government to remove that waste of time..

You're still missing what he said. Smoking have a negative impact on those around smokers. Him being fat have no impact on your life (unless you stand close to him and he spill McDonalds ketchup on you).

Well, fat people can be a burden on the healthcare system, either costing tax money, or making medical aid companies raise their premiums.

Both smoking and fat people is a burden on the health system, yes. Same for alcohol abuse.
But, again, smoking always affect those around you directly there and then (even from a distance) and don't allow non-smokers the choice not to smoke.

Just like a considerate man always leave the toilet seat up, smokers should move away from others...far away.

I dunno, my experience around smokers has really been one where the vast majority genuinely don't want to be a nuisance or be an ass just for the sake of it. I also dislike people who throw their cigarette butts out of their car window or randomly on the ground, but I dislike any littering, so this is no different.
