Bwahaha. Probably used cheap and poor quality materials for the construction.

Not going to hold my breath, but will expect it when they sneakily award one of their BEE cadres with another multimillion rand tender....
 
Will there be a probe into the shoddy construction of the fence? I dont think so, it will just be covered up and forgotten.

Someone from the ANC ( can't remember who) already suggested that Nkandla safety is not up to standard and must be re-evaluated.
 
The contract to install the fence was awarded to Durban businesswoman Thandeka Nene whose company secured work worth R98m on the project. However, the contract was cancelled due to non-performance and given to Betafence Projects, at R9.2m for the job.

It was in the news a while ago. Apparently, there are still a hundred-million Rand + work that needs be done. This work will be done, according to me, under huge secrecy and we will never know about this.
 
Does Government not qualify for warranties/guarantees when products are delivered or did they fail to include it in the contract?
If the workmanship was of poor quality then the contractor should be held responsible for the cost of repairs.

In the past those requirements were automatically part and parcel of contracts, but today, with a matric passrate of 30% it's not a given. It also leaves a nice loophole for unnecessary contract extensions.

I think it belongs on every front page and every headline if every newspaper, website, pamphlet, radio show and EVERYWHERE else so that that dumbass masses can see how their president is missing away their money.

I support the media in running this - as headlines news each and every day.

Investors must see what the South African government is doing, they need to see how 'safe' their investments will be.

Governments around the world giving money to 3rd world countries must see where their money is going and how the South African government is covering their tracks.

The stupid masses themselves will wake up one day as long as they keep seeing news like this.

The quicker all donations and assistance and investments to South Africa stops, the better it will be for everyone.
 
That fence looks like a clearvue product.
It's supposed to be quite a solid product.
