Article: Petrol station manager set alight

A petrol station manager was critically injured when one of his employees set him alight at a Kranskop Engen service station, Limpopo police said on Monday.

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the two were seen arguing at the N1 freeway station before the incident on Sunday morning.

What. The. Hell.

Now that guy gets to go to court have his docket stolen by tokoloshes and the case thrown out because of incompetent prosecutors, while the manager will have to live with the scars and debilitation.

judging by the number of incidents like this... where owners or managers are getting attacked... it makes you wonder just how these guys are treating their employees?

That petrol attendant needs a taste of his own medicine.

Still, there's no argument that warrants setting someone alight with fuel!

It rather makes me wonder at the mentality and intellect of our SA workforce.

We don't need petrol attendants in the first place. I guess it's all in the name of job creation, where the simplest of tasks requires someone to be employed to do it. Kind of like the "Refreshments Officer" on our floor who gets paid around R5.5k to serve tea/coffee twice a day.

Disgusting! And human rights will protect the perp in this situation.
"Awwww shame his working conditions were not fair, so he is justified in attempting to kill another human being." :wtf:

I say take all guys like this and simply destroy them not kill, DESTROY, in the most in-humane way possible. They do not deserve to procreate, they are not contributing to society, they are the scum that keeps the rest of us down. Just destroy them.

yea, I have had dealings with quite a few owners of petrol stations and I think there is a bit of resentment there. They make so little off the petrol and then they are forced to employ people where there is actually no need for them.

Yup, this guy deserves the death penalty for what he has done. Human rights are there for a reason they say... (read between the lines :D ). Btw, not trying to derail the thread, but what happened to that promise of introducing the death penalty? Bloody promises

you have no clue how things play out at a petrol station or how they are run. My in-laws own a petrol station.
The amount of crap they have to take up the ass from petrol attendants is mind-boggling. Petrol attendants with a mostly Malema attitude, and their farking unions make it very difficult to deal with them about ANYTHING AT ALL... They constantly f**k-up (apparently on purpose, pouring diesel into a petrol tank and vice-versa) and do not respond well at all to corrective action.
If there's any crap, they either take it out on the clientele or just go AWOL or call their buddies to hold up and rob the convenience store.

Sometimes these okes just hook out. One guy here got killed by his foreman of years & two other staff simply because he denied their request for a raise. Other staff had nothing bad to say about him.

Why wonder? It is a known fact: 10% smaller brain (mostly cortex) which results in a 20% less IQ. Violent crime is directly related to ones intelligence. After all you need some brains to understand the consequences of your actions.

It’s my kulcha. If it moves, burn it if you can’t rape, steal or break it.

So now you are just going to generalise and paint all petrol station workers with the same brush?
Isn't that what racism is all about?
