I would also like to know the total unemployed black vs white ratio.. But you gotto remember, most white families have 1-2 kids, with the odd few having 4 or more. Where as with blacks it is almost the opposite. This should also be taken into account when looking at unemployment statistics..

I'm not at all, why do you feel so offended? Did you benefit from apartheid? I sure know I did. But I was too young to realise the wrongs of the times.

Again, you skip answering my question, you've got quite a bit of cheek accusing me of not answering questions (which you never asked incedentally) and not answering mine.

I was way too young to even experience Apartheid. I don't see that need to answer your questions as others have answered you already.

I don't know about you but I worked hard to earn my qualifications and got scholarships despite the fact that there were very few positions open to white folk. As far as I'm concerned Apartheid didn't give me much and what I have earned I earned after Apartheid was ended and the odds were against me. I earned, and continue to earn, my education myself. I owe those struggling now absolutely nothing.

Exactly majority of us here are too young to have contributed to apartheid. This whole issue has been blown out of proportion by both the newspapers and those catching frothies on this forum.

I would think that would be quite obvious..
The more children you have, the more income you would require to support them.
That means you now require more money to send them to the equivalent school you could have sent your one child. So thus their quality of education has been compromised. Not to mention food and clothes etc.

You now have more children with worse education leading to less qualified professionals (their chance of getting into a University is a lot lower) and so you sit with children who either never ended up getting a matric or one so crappy no one wants to hire them, thus leading to increased unemployment.

Plus the more children, the more jobs are required, and in the current economical climate, there is definitely a shortage of jobs and job creation.

The fundamental problem with your argument is obvious. If people with a white skin benefitted before and people with a black skin are doing so now, which situation is wrong? Even distinguishing as you do so judiciously is racist.

Wouldn't the difference lie in the fact that in actual fact we are all benefitting now where as before it was one race group?

This administration do not know what the hell they are doing, I would seriously doubt they know how many people are here legally or not.

You refuse to believe people who actually did a count of how many people are there and yet have an 'opinion' on how many white people you 'believe' there are? Why? If you actually think a bit you'd realize estimating the number of white people is a lot easier and more accurate than say the black population given how so many of them are employment and almost always register all birth.

I have a question... Why must I tolerate this racism?

I'm 20 years old, so born after Nelson's release, and the shyte storm that was Apartheid was pretty much drawing to a close...

My dad worked in the police (because he didn't want to fight in some useless war...), never shot or used his gun while working in the police... Then started a small loss adjusting firm, which received business from your big insurance companies... nothing really there to gain from Apartheid I don't think?

I did go to a nice private school, but all that was paid by my fathers own wealth, no benefit from being a white.

I used my private schools education, and while stuffing around for 11 years, I pulled my finger out my arse and got into a nice university (wits), and got into Engineering...

I perform well in Engineering so far, getting a first average, and sitting on the deans list for my performance in first year... Although, it must be because I'm white that I do well, don't you think ;).

So here's to hoping I pass my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year (I plan to do my doctorate: Dr Scotty just has such a delightful ring to it, don't you think?) ).

All this has been achieved without the help of my fellow whites who are in power. Instead, I'm on the back foot.

In fact, being a white, male, studying engineering pretty much sums me up as : An oppressive, misogynist who likes playing video games... Hmmm, not nice is that?

Right now, in South Africa, I'm in the most hated race, gender, insufferable because I'm smart and over all, just attacked... Why? Because some morons have decided to label me as bad?

Why must I tolerate this? Why must I now offer the skills I have acquired, learned, and ground my brain through, when I'm being treated like shyte, have no job security, no idea if tomorrow I'm going to get lead off into a concentration camp???

Why must I stick my neck out into a country that literally wants to prosecute me? I understand that I'm a glorified carpenter, but I just hope that soon enough, Julius, Tutu, Zuma, the leaders of the New South Africa realize you can't make a chair without carpenters. And when all the wood crafts men are gone, you going to be sitting on your arse.

The simple truth is that out of my 6 close uni friend, 6 of them want to leave. Black engineers may want to stick around for some time, but they too will soon be gone. And this is all just a microcosm for the bigger picture everyone.

The engineers, teachers, economists, actuaries, etc etc etc.... Everyone who can leave, will leave.

So again, why must I tolerate this? There is only so much name calling and bullying I will take until I give everyone the toffy and fusk right off. White tax? HA HA HA HA, I say bring it on, because that's just one more piece of straw that will make this camel buckle. I have done nothing wrong at all. All my achievements were accomplished with no help from anyone (apart from school fees from of the parents), so if they expect me to pay, I'm running away.
 
It doesn't need to be tolerated because the whole thing is a moot point that some journo has desperately tried to revive it.
 
Now I of course agree with you scotty also being a white male with BSc hons.

I think the issue tutu, malema, zuma et al. have is that your father and his father benefited from Apartheid, so they were educated and got better jobs, giving them the ability to pay for your schooling career (i'm assuming your parents did? If you payed for it thats another story, although that would be the minority I think), whilst many other black parents can't afford it as they have crap jobs or none. I'm talking about the majority here, not the elitists who take advantage of eTendering and other so called ways of making a quick buck.

They should be complaining about the Zulus as well for kicking the other smaller tribes off their land back in the day.. It's all just an attempt to try fill their pockets even more!
