Article: Wanted criminal shot dead

Vio I'm tempted to assume that you've made a wide sweeping generalisation against the entire police force as being simply another gang. Is this correct?

If so then my next assumption is that you justify violence against the police force by simply labelling it as gang on gang violence?

Help us out here because you're not making a whole lot of sense right now.

Yes, in many ways the police is just another gang. Simple as that. If you break them down from top to bottom, they are the definition of a true gang.

They do what they want to whoever they want. They steal, they push drugs, they kill, they sell weapons to the streets.

My post right above this explains this. I would hope all cops know when they go out to go after gangs, they should be prepared to get shot and killed. At the end of they day aren't they soldiers fighting another army(criminals)?

Soldiers die.

It always brightens my day to learn that another criminal got capped, thief, murderer or rapist they should all get a taste of some hot lead

...That doesn't give them a reason to kill him now, the "shootings" happened before today.

It's obvious they wanted to kill him at all costs for killing part of their gang.

Better than letting him go to prison. Prison is a waste of time. People go in and come out just as bad even worse.

You're losing it now. Rather quit while you're not too far behind

I am not "fighting" like you. I do not consider everything a war, especially if I am just posting on MyBB.

If you feel this is a victory all the better. Maybe I just bought myself good karma for the day. :)

I was referring to your mind in that post, not some imaginary struggle you think we are fighting. Seems to me you have war on the mind far too much

It's not called the "war on crime" for nothing. Sounds to me like you've possibly had a personal run in with the police, possibly a bad experience with corrupt officers? Simply painting them all with the same brush is no different to what the criminals do when aim their guns at them.

My fault I didn't understand what you meant on the internet. Make it more clear just for *ME next time.

Life is a battlefield my friend and your mind is the general...

First, I am not your friend because as I've said you have war on the mind far too much. Second, the police (for the most part) are not a gang, nor are they soldiers.

I'll still consider you a friend.

Police are a gang and the sooner we know this the better, then we can keep a close tab on them as well but of course that will never happen because police are looked at as Saints, it's as if they never sin, it's as if the nicest people in the world choose the role of a policeman to protect us...Lol.

They are soldiers, they actually LITERALLY sometimes take the place of an army if need be, and vice versa. Soldiers from the army are allowed to take over police roles if the situation calls for it.

They go to 'War on Crime' like the guy above us just posted. ;)

pft, so what! he deserves all that came his direction!

Who said they never sin? I sure as heck didnt. Who's ass are you pulling this from?

When exactly do they do this? You will likely find that in those rare circumstances it is justified for the police to assume the same function as the military.

They go to 'War on Crime' like the guy above us just posted. ;)

Seems you did not go to class the day when literal and figurative meanings were explained. This is just more FUD from you.

its called the South African police Service and not Police force! Even if the cops were a mafia/gang that acted like the Boondock saints then I will still support them!

Johannesburg - Police shot dead a suspected cop killer in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg, on Friday morning, police said.

"It is alleged that the members tactically gained entry to the premises where the suspect was hiding," said Captain Katlego Mogale.

"When the police identified themselves, the suspect fired... at them. Police responded and the suspect was killed."

The shooting happened at Durban Deep in Roodepoort when he resisted arrest by the Gauteng organised crimes unit, said Mogale.

"The suspect was being wanted for various casino, bank and cash-in-transit robberies in Linden, Booysens, Randburg, Randfontein, Bramley, Johannesburg Central, Newcastle and Standerton, where two police officers were fatally wounded," she added

Sorry Vio but you're entire objection to this criminal being killed is based purely on your personal bias against the police. Your view of reality is warped.

That phrase can be looked at in many ways. Did you miss the quotations? lol...talking about SCHOOL, the irony!

The literal part of it is TRUE: The police are going out there to fight vs <whoever they consider breaking their laws> It is A WAR, they put on their vests, their guns and they bomb each other until one is no longer standing.

Perhaps it is YOU who needs to attend class or at the very least we can BOTH attend class. ;)

My points are all valid and you can google the definition of a gang and soldier and apply it where you see fit and police fit the definitions perfectly.

Face it, the police are a gang of soldiers who are ready to die.

Anyway, lets get BACK ON TOPIC...

Believe me, this is nothing directly personal. I understand at the end of the day the cops are just humans being controlled by a higher power(Govt).

I just don't like how the police gang are looked on as the saviors of this world but yet they do nothing to protect MOST of the people in this country.

Look in the Slums for example, drugs, rapes and abuse on a daily basis yet NO POLICE comes around to help. They only seem to protect the minority(the rich) and not the majority(the poor).

The police circle around City Centers protecting billion dollar businesses but can't spare two minutes to circle around the slums 10 minutes away. Pathetic.

I have said this before. If you go to the slums where the majority of people in SA actually ARE, and interview them, 80% of them will tell you they HATE the police because of x, y, z. One of the reasons that always comes up is the police "NEVER DO ANYTHING."

This is true in Brazil, America, Asia, you name it.

Which phrase, there were several in my previous reply...

The literal part of it is TRUE: The police are going out there to fight vs <whoever they consider breaking their laws> It is A WAR, they put on their vests, their guns and they bomb each other until one is no longer standing.
Could you please post a link for us telling us of the last time 1) Police made laws, 2) the police used bombs 3) the police used bombs on each other. You are reaching epic levels of crazy now, or you really suck at proper English.

My points are all valid and you can google the definition of a gang and soldier and apply it where you see fit and police fit the definitions perfectly.
Very few of your points are valid in fact. Saying it over and over and over while telling yourself "I'm right" will not change that.

Face it, the police are a gang of soldiers who are ready to die.
No, they are police, who are willing to die.

One of the reasons that always comes up is the police "NEVER DO ANYTHING."

So which is it now? Do the police do nothing, or are they gang soldiers bombing the cr@p out of the "enemy?" I warned you, you should've quit while you were not too far behind...

+1

Mass generalising is a road filled with so many large potholes. You're bound to fall into one of them eventually.
