My points are all valid and you can google the definition of a gang and soldier and apply it where you see fit and police fit the definitions perfectly.

This is not true. There are fundamental differences. A military soldier is (generally) used outside the country. His brief is to kill the enemy – which he does well. He does not have the training to make fine distinctions. You can’t kill your own citizens. The police are (supposed) to have this training and exercise judgment.
For e.g.
You can’t gun-down a citizen for overdue library books. A military soldier might, the police shouldn’t.
