Article: Zuma can run, but he can't hide

This speech was delivered by the DA's Parliamentary Leader during an address to the Cape Town Press Club.

President Zuma’s failure to account Parliament is an impeachable offence.

Then why hasn't it happend yet? Does the law apply to everyone or only to lowly citizens?

Impeachment is not a criminal procedure. Secondly it is up to parliament to impeach him, which is never going to happen. Thirdly, you cannot be impeached - for obvious reasons.

TL;DR: It's not a case of double standards.

Lol

Sounds like a pipe-dream IMO. The dude has way too many higher ups watching his back from various shady deals over the years. Cos, if they don't, he simply drags 'em down with him.

And JZ is providing unlimited supply of money (tax payer's money). So who is going to make waves if your boss is giving your a free ride and unlimited money!?

The ANC is failing to recognise the danger it is in. They have lost touch with their voters and I agree that they are causing a lot of harm. Corruption is allowed to continue and issues are swept under the carpet. The country is in for a rough time due to the lack of accountability.

By Mmusi Maimane (DA). Can not understand why it is not mentioned anywhere in the article!

Looking at thread title, I cant help wondering how the heck Zuma runs.

One major problem being that if you speak against him they just get rid of you.
