Assist me with getting old Cell Number back

Hi all.

I am helping a potential client with an email problem, and in order to reset his password he needs a disconnected Cell Number to get into his account. He told me the provider was Cell C, he gave me the number, and also told me that Cell C were unable to assist as the number had been nullified.

For as long as the number hasn't been already allocated to anybody else it must be possible for him to get the number back.

If anybody is able to assist I will be beyond greatful.
