I told them to cancel my order and instead went to rebel tech. Cool friendly and knowledgeable guys.

Rampage gaming can suck it....unless the deal of 16GB unit with KB is really R4400. Then I will apologise and buy from them lol.

Yeh, you're right, ordered it from rampage gaming, as I've posted before in this thread.

They have previously been very helpful but I think their offices are a bit chaotic as they are in the middle of moving offices to Pretoria, I think they are also being beseiged by an influx of crazy tech geeks asking them when it's going to arrive, how much for what model, why Asus is taking so long to ship them etc. etc.

I should know, I'm one of them =)

I do believe they made a mistake, will be interesting to see how they handle it as 4.4 = cost + 10% for the tablet alone.
 
I hope you get it as they promised. Please let me know should it come like they said. I will, with my tail between my legs order one too. Haha
 
If it is 32gb and kb I will also forget about the 3g and buy one instead of waiting

I'll no doubt get a 32GB microSD, so the 32GB version isn't a must for me, not to mention the fact that a 64GB microSD isn't too far away which will be pricey but at least it will lower the 32GB.

I do not think you need all that storage, or at least splash that much on SD storage.
8-16GB should be more than enough to handle every single app you can throw at it and space left for a little extra, throw in a removable HDD of 250GB and you have the best bang for your buck IMHO?
 
but a removable HDD is a pain in the ass if u on a plane and also the USB is on the keyboard so you'll have to have the keyobard docked all the time. I ordered the 32GB :P so i'm bias

BTW I the tablets are still not out of customs. Platinum micro (the distributors) say they may only get them next week :(

I ordered from Landmark computers.
I personally don't think the price is too bad cos you can claim the vat back- that maks it only about R400 more expensvie than importing it PLUS you have the security of a guarentee.

It will only be released end of July from ASUS, so not available anywhere yet, well unless you can get a buddy in the factory to hold one for you

and unfortunately I just know someone that works for a Samsung factory in the server room so I am out of luck 2
