ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Guys, get DicePlayer! It's the first Honeycomb optimized app that will allow you to play 720p (and a few 1080p) movies smoothly from your sdcard or internal storage.

It's R26 to buy off the app store or you can try the 3-day trial first.

Not just yet but look and listen should have them soon.

...
Thanks, was going to check there. Hope I don't scratch it before then.

BTW if anyone is interested, I got one from Hirsch's @ R4200 (16GB). I know you can get it for a tad cheaper online but I could not wait any longer.
/I would phone to check stock first though.

I also waited some time for the update, got mine on Tuesday night. Not sure if it is related but I got it after I cleared the market cache and rebooted.

I have a feeling they limitng the number of people that can update at a time in order not to kill their servers. Been on 3.2 since Friday and bar the circle(that I hate) there is not really much of a diffrance so I would not lose any sleep about it.

All I hear about 3.2 are reports of very little benefit and issues relating to apps that worked before suddenly stopping...think I'll stick with 3.1 a bit longer.

Maybe try a factory reset and reload the apps to see if it resolves some issues.

Guys honestly, what are your TRUE and HONEST opinions on the quality and vibrance of the screen compared to the Ipad 2. I am itching to buy a tablet but put the 2 together and there really seems to be a huge difference.
I know thats not the only deciding factor though

I have not compared to the iPad 2 directly - but it feels (subjectively) better than iPad 1. For me, as you correctly mentioned, the other benefits blow the iPad out of the water.

Nice one! :)

Yes I was also very impressed, you've got to love all the Android shorcuts like settings, print screen etc.

It feels very solid though, I'm also a bit puzzled as to why they changed from a mouse pointer to a circle, maybe a circle is more fitting and the system is not exactly designed for a curser but rather fingertips?

It's also very standard so you get used to typing on it very quickly.

What revision of keyboard dock should one be looking for? I read something somewhere about the battery draining on pre B60? /cant remember exactly

Love my eepad transformer BUT i'm having an issue with the left speaker, any advice? I havent rooted yet... running 3.2

Yep
But AFAIK it needs a rooted device... Seems like I'll have to get down to root it this weekend then... one click root?

I would try to get a replacement first.

Sent from my PC while my TF101 sleeps.

And exactly how? I bought my device from Dubai... Jumbo Electronics. Will Asus SA cover it under warrenty? I still have invoices/pop.

Direct comparison the iPad is clearer esp in direct sun light See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HfalKqueY0 the OS also seems a lot smoother on the iPad.

Personally I just prefer the Asus because of the operating system. If you looking for a glorified E reader and game platform go iPad instead but if you want to actually use the device go Asus. The fact that it has HDMI, Keyboard + Mouse, SD and USB Drive support makes it a winner in my books. My iPad doesn't get used much, in fact I only use it to play games that is not on the Android market. Oddly the games that jumped platform (Example: Fruit Ninja THD) is better quality on Android than the iPad.

Interesting read when you compare the 2 http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/asus-eee-pad-transformer-vs-ipad-2
