ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Update for Transformer? I'm sitting in 3.2.1, don't see and update.
 
HTK78.WW_epad-8.6.5.21-20111216 is the build number.


Anyone know why most Gameloft games wont work on the TF?

I bought Modern Combat 3 for R8/ pity its not working on my tab.

Because of the way there piracy control works. Gameloft games check validation via sending data to a Licence server via internet and reseving an SMS for conformation.

So in short it does work, just not legal ones ;)
 
Well on the other side, I just saw that SPB Shell 3D was available to install on my tablet. I bought it ages ago when I use to run Stock and hated Sense with a passion.

Anyway its not to bad, and certainly a hell of a lot more responsive than Stock Honeycomb.

What I like is the added Custom panels like the RSS news and Calculator seen below

There are loads more that I did not show like the Weather page and Note board that have free floating Sticky notes also lacking is the 3D like animations. Defenatly liven up things a little and give it that extra aaah element.

Again it makes me wonder if a rd party can make 3D animation so smooth WTH is wrong with the Android developers that they can not get it right.

I remember SPB from when I had a WM phone. Only problem I have with it is $$$.

Modern Combat 3 looks awesome on my phone, gameloft are shooting themselves in the foot.

Its just as awesome on my ASUS Tablet ;)

Just need root + edit the build.prop to a supported device.

Yip there is a cracked apk.

I bought it on my Desire HD and just used its APK seeing that I have root on my tablet.

Its a pity they don't support the device officially as the game is simply stunning on it.

Cant wait to get it working on my TF.

This is pretty retarded from Gameloft, they are actually promoting piracy. I mean I paid for the damn app, WTH should I not be able to play it. Next time I might think twice about buying from them, if Gameloft treats me like a pirate I guess I have expectations to live up to...

Well I am sure we will see more support in the future as Gameloft starts moving into the in app model.

For example
Brothers in Arms 2, GT Racing
and Other titles.

What I like about their system is that its the full game for free and you basicly pay for "cheat codes" as all the stuff you buy can be had in normal gameplay. I can not wait for Dungeon hunter 3 that follows the free to play system, and hopefully I don't have to find a Cracked version for my Transformer. Dungeon Hunter 2 is one hell of a cool game to play on the device.

What I do find odd is that you can do the same in Modern Combat 3, but I guess you will get it later for free without the $5000 in game cash and on the free version it will not increase with kills, besides both the examples I linked above was normal paid for titles.

Sorry I ment to say they are free to play, not that they are compatible with our devices. At least if the piracy issue is no more they will not have an excuse not to support our platform.

Me too, looking forward to gamepad and 3G stick support (hopefully) /holding thumbs. Would also like to be able to install some apps on SD instead of internal...

What other major/noticeable improvements can we expect?

Well I dont think we will see much in new features but I can advice to stay away from the update for a day or 2 once its out.

If http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437392 on XDA is anything to go by....

I seriously wish that Android OEM's take a hint from Apple and start to give us Beta images via their websites, just so us tech savvy people can have a go 1st before they push crap OTA.

Seriously letting normal people update OTA and having these kind of problems is not helping the cause.
