Asus router not working with other networked devices [HELP]

Just got my new Asus dsl-ac68u router. All the devices plugged directly into the router work. I have a switch plugged in that runs another access point, a wester digital tv player, samsung network printer. None of these devices now show up on the network. Any ideas? Had a netgear dgn 2200 that worked with all of this before.

WD TV & PRINTER are plugged directly into the switch.

Which port is your access point plugged into? (should be LAN).

Is the dhcp switched off on the access point?
 
I had a similar issue once, the access point was the problem, I would suggest removing the access point, then restarting the Asus router and all connected devices. If they now get a local IP via DHCP it is a conflict from the access points side. To fix the problem from there, ensure that the AP automatically receives an IP via DHCP from the router.

yes it is on the lan. Will check the DHCP setting.

Forgot to add that the pc's plugged into the switch still work. Just not the printer, access point, & wd tv.

Turned off and unplugged the access point no difference.

Tried plugging the printer directly into the router and this also doesn't work, so the problem must be on the router.

Just noticed that my media center pc, I can't access sabnzbd or sickbeard through chrome any more. I can access that pc tho and see its files. So problem is something on the router. Any ideas?
 
The DHCP gets really confused on that router, I have used the exact same one. Unplug everything from the LAN and disconnect everything from the WLAN and reconnect one at a time until you find the problem child. (Ensure you restart the router before you start connecting hosts)
 
will try, tho didn't have much in at the start and the printer still wouldn't work.

yes it did, I didn't know this, my dad is the only one who uses the printer, i reset the printer and router and it all seems to be working kind of, only problem is the printer still, it was showing up but you couldn't access it or something, I will check in the morning.

Cool, just remember, it will be a DCHP issue 99% of the time with that router
