servers have been surprisingly busy over the last 3 weeks which is always good!

Allot of new players.
I can see that by the way they end up at the bottom of the score card at the end of the rounds. I love it though. I got a few rewards and unlocks so far, just not comfortable enough to leave my Sniper rifle for an assault rifle as yet.

I got few awards after having enjoyed some commanding last night. Anyone who was on my team, how was my command? I give some orders which were followed perfectly and won those rounds as a results.
Maybe I will stick with the command post if I don't get competitors to earn more points.

just remember to set you punkbuster settings in bf 2 console, otherwise you will be kicked from game

How are you going to become any good at bf 2 by taking the easy route and commanding the whole time, not to mention its kinda boring after awhile. Suck it up take the beatings and learn how to hon your bf 2 skills on the ground.

Currently my machine runs 2x PB clients.
1. is the downgraded version to play BF2 (pb_security0)
2. The current full version used for America's Army.
Now last night when I logged off I checked some of the logs on the full client. There is some very wierd recordings in there.
Why are they not updating the BF2 pb client ? Anyone know ?
And would like to know who is the SGS admin responsible for the BF2 servers.

you need to give us the details, why is the server kicking you?? if its a punk buster problem just google how to update your punk buster, follow the instructions and you should be good to go.
its great to see more people joining the servers, and @ pitbull, you just gotta keep at it, improve your skills, learn the maps and realise that when you're out gunned, get the hell outta there and stay alive to fight another day

lol, seems like you misread everything I typed.
I play fine on the downgraded version.
The new threats are on AA and people are being nailed left right and centre on new hax. Now since the PB client on BF2 is so out dated why is it a problem to upload the new client

lol, i was talking to the guy that posted above me, but i read your problem and it seems interesting, i re-installed BF2 the other day and updates punk buster via their website and I haven't had any problems what so ever, didn't even have to use the pb_security command.
reading your post further, are you saying that there are players who are abusing the AA on the non IO servers? reason for asking is that I only play on the IO server

Dono, which servers tbh, I have them all on my server list. Will have to check which. Given; I only recall seeing 1 or 2 locals kicked and the pb file showed:
fcdata/scripts something something
and
moddesc.txt something something

Something about average ping to high, and few others I can`t remember, but will try updating PB and see what happens thanks
Go into bf 2 colsonle during a game by pressing (`) without the brackets
type pb_security 0
It worked for me.
