What's not "real world results" about all the reviews released today besides for the drivers which require tweaking? The card's NDA has been lifted...

is it not just fanboi hype ..... same thing happens with nvidia and then peeps find out the card isn't actually as cool as it was hyped.

Thats Crysis, not that great crossfire performance there, but in some other games, like Race Driver and Fear, it performs.
Feel free to compare the two, like here, but please compare the price as well. The 4850 comes close to the GTX280 in the above test for example, but that is just one test with one game. Overall I don't think the GTX280 can be beaten by the upcoming HD4870.

Screw the graphics card companies, back in the old days, a graphics card could last you 5 years.
Now upgrading yearly is the norm
*goes looking* for voodoo and s3 trio
still i wont pay more than 3K for a card again, thinking back at the ±7k i spent on 2x 7800Gt's and lol what they mean right now.

My brothers and I put R4700 together for a GeForce 4 Ti4400 back in the day. We upgraded from a TNT1 which cost R1500

lol, thats brings back memories of my first cd writer 2x for R2000....
My brothers and I put R4700 together for a GeForce 4 Ti4400 back in the day. We upgraded from a TNT1 which cost R1500
but that card was legendary its not 440mx ! all hail the TI !!

Dude, with my TNT1 I was the first of my friends which could play Action Quake2 with OpenGL
They all blamed my sexy graphics for my uber frag count!
