ATMs and Sex Trader cannot be trusted

As Capitec says, tellers are the new ATM's and using that should eliminate any scams or attacks.

Except the tellers call their mates to nail you when you withdraw a pile of cash...

What's interesting is that last bit about mobile being targeted. Us techy people with the smartphones etc stand to lose a lot if our phones end up in the wrong hands- I can imagine there is as much personal info on some of these devices as there would be on a laptop- only it's much less secure.

The police should take full responsibility for this. I tried to open a case after receiving a scam email using a South African bank account. The police refused to open a docket if I had not lost money. They could have done something to stop this when it was a lot smaller, but they have now left it too late. Typical South African.... always on the backfoot.

If you can't trust sextrader, who can you trust? ;) On a more serious note, what does the 'device' on an atm actually look like?

According to Grobler they have seen a significant increase in Bulgarians coming in and out of the country before the 2010 World Cup, and it soon became apparent that their interest was not in soccer only.
geez thats xenophobic! should it be Nigerians?

No its pretty fair. There are a lot of eastern block visitors who come here solely for the purpose of committing crimes. From black market diamonds to fraud and scams... its heaven. Corrupt government and the head of "Interpol SA + SAPS" Jacki Selebi being given 15 yrs in jail. I think that sends a strong message to all global criminals that this is the place to be.

Thats scary!:wtf: Will be more on the lookout next time at an atm. Although I do not prefer them regardless.
