Upgraded to AVG Antivirus 2012 and now my computer thinks everything I download is a virus? I updated my AVG antivirus. But whenever I download my podcast or anything else for that matter, it always assumes that the file is a virus. I primarily use Firefox. How can I change this?

Do yourself a huge favor and rather get Avast Free anti-virus or MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials).

If you are still using Windows XP then here is the download link for Microsoft Security Essentials

AVG is bloated, heavy on resources and doesn't get rid of most of the viruses it picks up.

Before installing one of the above you must first remove AVG via the Programs and features panel in Control Panel. You then restart your Pc and install one of the above.

Rather get Avast! Antivirus, works much better and faster.

Did you check on AVG website and see if there is a solution to this? Your problem is very weird. Does avg has some extension installed on your firefox? Have you tried uninstalling that firefox app (if it does exist)?

Using latest AVG Free with Waterfox(Firefox 64bit build for Windoze) - no problems here, strange indeed...

AVG ANTIVIRUS is well known for reporting false positives , its how they make people buy their products..

give them the free one and give loads of false positives to scare them into buying the paid version

im a computer expert - i know all the tricks of the games

i could recommend a better one but everyone has their own opinions on which one they think is best

and would mark me down what ever i say ..

free avg code
