Because I am apposed to the WC paying for Gautengs new shiny highways I am a troll?
Can you not understand how someone might not agree with your view on the matter?

And the people that keep apposing etolls and want the cost passed to us aren't flogging a dead horse?

The fuel levy increase being GP only I can get behind though

They want to implement it there too if its successful here. So yes, you are a troll like anyone else who thinks the current implementation of e-tolls is fit and proper and a good thing.

And again, I have no problem with that. If it means great roads, then etolls are not a bad choice (in my opinion). I like them elsewhere, I would probably like them here (on national highways)

I repeat, its blatantly unfair because you can get charged full price for 10km for traveling only 1km and in other instances you can use part of the toll highway without even paying. And its too expensive, they could have done if for way cheaper I am sure.

I am not saying that I am for the specific implementation you have in GP. But in general, I am for etolls. And the discussion seems to be around people being against etolls in general, not the specific implementation details

I tend to like that solution as well. However, most of the people complaining about etolls seem to be against a provincial fuel levy as well.

Thanks. But can you not separate the concept of etolls and the implementation thereof?
And in your view if someone is not against something, then they are for it. Very black and white there

But can you not realise the concept of etolls and the implementation thereof results in the same end destination for us who have to use it and thus why we are opposed?

If the criticism was limited to the implantation of etolls rather than the paying for toll roads. And if people were suggesting a GP fuel levy instead, then I would not have much to say on the matter.
But most of the talk around etolls is that people are complaining about the concept of etolls, and it should be paid by the national fuel levy.

I understand not all people are saying this, and you most certainly aren't, but it does seem to be the overwhelming view taken by people complaining about etolls.
