Awesome Curry, decent prices

Tranna, Parkview Centre (Moreleta Park, Pretoria). Very good curry!

Had a bunny at Little Durban in Brooklyn once...thought my anus was going to fall out!

Screw you all.. I'm ordering a Chicken Bunny from the canteen today...

Well for you inlanders it would probably kill you...
:D

The little "salad" that comes with it has birds eye chillis in it just for good measure as well.

Where's the good curry hiding in Cape Town?

I generally go to:

Eastern Food Bazaar (CBD) - cheap and cheerful but not a GOOD curry.
Curry Quest (Mowbray) - probably the best of the lot that I've found so far.
Vintage India (Gardens) - food was good, but pricey and I found it to be overrated.

I'd also be interested in a place with good vegetarian curry if anyone has any idea's.

Thanks,

I dig the food & value at Food Inn India (CBD & Rondebosch)

Indian Chapter in Blouberg! Awesome

Bump.
Erm...any suggestions for a good curry place close to Durban airport? Gonna be there tomorrow and I'd like to try get a curry in my belly. Would prefer a restaurant-type place where we can sit down.
Thanks.

6. Capsicum Restaurant, Umgeni Road
Capsicum Restaurant in a faded heritage building at the Britannia Hotel is a firm favourite among locals and has achieved fabled status over the past 33 years. The most popular dishes include delicately spiced prawn curry, and the exotic bunnies (tripe or trotters). If you’ve had enough bunnies, try a curry-filled toasted sarmie instead.

Address and contact

1299 Umgeni Road, Tel 031 303 2266.

This is pretty accurate .

This is the one i always go to and the best IMO

3. Gounden’s, Umbilo Road
Gounden’s daily specials include vegetable briyani, mince curry and chops chutney, but most popular are the spicy mutton bunnies, loaded with chunks of melt-in-your-mouth meat.

Address and contact

It used to be housed in a panel beaters, but it’s since moved to 520 Umbilo Road, Tel 031 205 5363.

The chops chutney is fantastic and you can order all the curries with samp .

how close to the airport?

your best bet would be around Balito ( not sure of any there but there is bound to be one!) or get out to durban north ( indian summer, Jaipoor Palace, mydiners)
