Axxess Auth issues?

I connect fine on an MWeb account, my Axxess account gives me more problems than an enraged porcupine with PMS.
 
What router are you using Belgarion? just out of interest...

I have a planet ADE-3100 as my router connected to my LAN and my axxess username and password take about 30 seconds to log in before I have access.
 
had the problem again just now :( getting a bit sick of this ...

so can we clarify, is it axxess problem, or telkom problem? Because if it is axxess problem and it is not fixed by tomorrow afternoon I am moving to another ISP!
 
Like I said, I had the same problem (although briefly) with a telkom account. So it appears not to be limited to Axxess. Someone else reported having the same issue with an MWEB account.

BUT I do think Axxess could be more communicative towards their clients. I have *still* not been notified by them about the 1 November price changes...

had to wait 1/2 - 3/4 hr for my router to relog with my axxess account. Logged in with the guest account 1st attempt. I'm getting annoyed cause my router eventually gives up on connecting and just sits/stalls until i press connect again. wierd thing is it actually says authentication failed.. as if the uname/pwd is wrong.
 
Axxess down, Telkom ADSL is working

I tested [email protected] they do not even work, I loaded a Telkom username and it worked immediately, Downloaded from Novell in US speed 50 KB/s, So it looks like Telkom is engaging in anti competitive behavior once again,

Did anyone try openweb or any of the other ISP’s on SAIX

Also having authentication issues!!

I just spam the retry button a 100 times or more until it connects. Bloody frustrating.

ANy1 have any feedback from axxess about this?

I'm using the Billion 5100 DSL Router.
 
I phoned Axxess and they blame Telkom but they couldn't provide me with a reasonable explanation. This was on Friday... when I phone their helpline it just spams me 'We are having authentication issues, thank you and good day - line dead'. I am going to phone their head office today and cancel my account. SAOL looks much better and they are cheaper. I connect fine on my MWeb account.
 
I haven't been able to use my accounts since Friday. This is really pathetic!
 
Was just on the phone to Axxess. The guy I spoke to (Paul I think) was quite diplomatic and helpful. I thought the prob was since Friday but he told me it has been happening since Wednesday (Go honesty and integrity!). What is happening is that SAIX has provided more servers to connect to the web and these have a new IP range. When you dial-up you connect to the closest server. Now what is happening is that Axxess don't have the ip ranges for the new servers as of yet (They're on the phone to SAIX, but they did tell me this since Friday though...) and that is why we are being bounced. My advice: Just keep on trying and hopefully you'll be connected to the older NAS servers. I am giving them until the end of the day to fix this thereafter I will be cancelling. I hope this serves as some useful info.
 
It's sad to see things going south. Trust Telkom to kill a small company like Axxess which use to have above average customer service.

Maybe they have to many customers now and things are getting less managble for them. Either way this will have a negative effect on their customer base.

They dont even reply on this forum anymore.
 
looking at the open web 10GB @ R350 SAIX accounts, I guess it is time to move ...
 
I managed to connect at around 6 pm on Sunday and today I have had no luck. What I can't understand is if this a problem with authentication servers and the new IP range why haven't any of the other SAIX resellers experienced this problem.

We have had the same problem for a while now. We are in PMB and have three on the network via a Billion modem. If we try the telkom test account or another isp account we connect instantly. Hope this gets solved soon.
 
Same problem here. Axxess 4GB account and Linksys WAG54G router. Cancelling account at the end of the month, SAOL here I come.
